BUSIT is a public transport bus service, operated in partnership by Waikato Regional Council and local district councils. Connecting passengers to Hamilton from as far as Pukekohe, Raglan, Taumarunui, Taupō and Te Aroha - Waikato operates around 20 regional services and 22 Urban services across Hamilton city. ✨ Out & About with BUSIT is back in Tokoroa next week! ✨
Join us as we do our bit to help celebrate the official reopening of the Tokoroa Community Hub and Library, with activities and events happening throughout the week.
Our BUSIT crew will be there on Monday morning to help with Bee Cards and concessions, share timetables, and run some fun activities for the kids. Plus, we'll have BUSIT merch to give away! 🚍

BUSIT and Flex fare changes are coming from 28 September 2026. Fares are increasing to help meet the rising costs of providing services across the Waikato.
We're also seeking feedback on proposed public transport fare policies in the Waikato. The survey takes just a few minutes, and your feedback will help shape future fare decisions📝

Changes are coming to Connect2Taupō routes #34 - #38 from 28 September, following community feedback gathered through our survey earlier this year.
The updates reallocate services across the network based on current usage and community feedback, providing additional weekday services for Tūrangi and Tokoroa/Mangakino, while reducing service days for Acacia Bay and Wairakei. All Tūrangi services will also operate with a larger bus, with larger buses introduced on Wairakei services two days per week.
Most routes will also have revised timetables, helping to create more consistent scheduling across the week and, in some cases, shorter journey times.
Check the updated service timetables below to see how your route may be affected and plan ahead for travel from 28 September.
