Three Leg Frog is an exciting new addition to the Victoria Street restaurant scene,
serving up the best of Chinese cuisine with a fresh twist.
With exposed brick walls, a cosy replace, black leather couches, a magni cent central skylight and elegant lighting, Three Leg Frog has a Beijing-meets-New York contemporary feel. There is a special ‘Challenge Menu’ for those guests who dare to be a little adventurous – anyone for stir-fried chicken gizzards in chilli & garlic? The restaurant has an extensive menu bursting with fresh Asian avours with an extensive range of red and white local and imported wines. A unique feature is the option to book a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, with your preferred variety of oolong tea imported from Fujian province in China. The Three Leg Frog.....
THE THREE LEG FROG. THE MYSTICAL CREATURE KNOWN AS CHAN CHU. He is also known as a Three legged Prosperity Frog and some also call him the Moon Frog. To the Chinese he is regarded as a most favorable sign, for he is known to bring Fortune and Prosperity. The legend states that in the 10th Century there was a man named as Liu Hai who was the Minister of State and was said to be in possession of a three-legged frog. This frog had the ability to transport Liu Hai to any place he desired to go in an instant. But this frog had a thirst for Water and Gold. Many times this frog would escape down a well or a drink of water. To recapture the frog, all Liu Hai had to do was string a line of Gold Coins as bait for the frog and of course the gold hungry frog would always take the bait and return. We wonder if a coin was placed into his mouth while you make a wish whether it will come true or not...

Most Chinese festivals are observed by eating a particular food as a custom, and the Dragon Boat Festival is no exception. Zongzi, a pyramid-shaped glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in reed leaves, is the special food eaten on the day. Come to Three Leg Frog and celebrate this special day with us!
