☀️💥 GROUP 1 PROISIR PLATE DAY 💥☀️
Big day of racing for the team today at Ellerslie.
R6 - SWEET ICE (9) - Eagle Technology 1600
Got too far back last start to do any damage but from the mile with long run in to the corner he’ll hopefully be close to the speed in the running. He has plenty of stamina to keep grinding to the line from there. A couple of kgs off with the aid of Sam McNab aboard today.
R8 - BETHANY DEE (10) Myracehorse 1300m
Smart mare who went close at Ruakaka last time. She always shows up and is the ultimate professional. May have to go back from the draw but should be finishing strong on the line.
R9 - FIRST FIVE (14) Proisir Plate 1400m
Was running home great in the Foxbridge after getting held up at the 300m. Strips better for the run today and over his pet distance. Slight ‘fly in the ointment’ with the sticky draw of 14 and will dictate us to go back, but we all know he’s good enough 💪🏻.

The sprinting star ⭐️ of last season FIRST FIVE returns to the track today fresh up in the Group 2 Foxbridge Plate at 4.20pm.
Delighted to get a soft 6 (although he would love it firmer) reading this morning which will allow him to get this vital run in before the Proisir Plate in a couple of weeks.
W Pinn stays aboard and we jump from gate 4. There’s sure to be plenty of speed early from this cracking line up of horses. Hopefully 🙏 he can be running on strong 💪🏻 at the line.

3 really nice horses 🐎, won a race a piece but have shown loads of ability in most of their other starts.
R2 - Rating 75 1100m
#5 BETHANY DEE (6) W Pinn
Up in grade but carries a low weight.
Lovely, honest mare who’s shown plenty of talent in her races to date.
Should be very competitive in the small field today.
#7 VICTOR TANGO (1) W Kennedy
Same story stepping up a rating and carrying just the 54kg.
Still very much learning his craft but he’s pretty good when he gets it right.
Again, capable of being right there on the line.
R8 - Rating 65 1400m
#1 SWEET ICE (4) W Kennedy
‘Frosty’ had a decent 3yo campaign, ending with 5th in the NZ Derby last start in March.
He’s had a good break and looks bigger and stronger now as a 4yo. Is a genuine good tracker so hopefully stays dry today.
Could give cheek fresh
