Coolsense was originally formed in February 2013 and is a refrigeration and Thermal Energy Storage (TES) company specializing in manufacturing and supplying chilling equipmet. Its initial development of a variable capacity packaged chilled water system has built Coolsense a reputation as a manufacturer of high quality highly efficient R410a refrigerant driven gaseous refrigeration systems. The current range of snap chilling heat recovery units range from 15kW to 44kW inputs and will now be supported by the recently introduced smaller capacity chillers, the 15kW and the smaller 7.5kW units. This gives Coolsense a diverse product offering of chillers to meet the chilling requirements in a vast range of industries.

A huge congratulations to our Chairman, Colin "Coal" Groves, on being appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours.
This is a fantastic and well-deserved recognition of Coal’s contribution to business, philanthropy, and sport throughout New Zealand. Over the years, he has helped countless people and organisations through his leadership, generosity, and willingness to give his time and expertise to others.
