We recently delivered a Takiwātanga workshop organised by Te Ika Whenua Hauora, led by one of our Specialist Facilitators, Hanna Randall.

The workshop was really well received, with feedback highlighting the value of the training and the difference it is making for whānau and communities. It’s great to hear how the training is helping build understanding and create more inclusive environments, particularly in Māori and rural communities.

Social Stories and other front-loading strategies to support Autistic children - 17/09/2026 - Your Way Kia Roha This workshop will explore social stories and other front-loading strategies, and how these can be used to support Autistic children.

Sometimes it is not one loud sound that becomes overwhelming. It is lots of little sounds building up. Keyboard clicks, notifications, appliance beeps, humming lights, and autoplay can all add to the load. If you can, try turning off one or two.

A slightly quieter space may give your nervous system a little more room.

Which everyday sound would you happily switch off forever?

Last week, we attended a Hauora Provider Hui hosted by our friends at Te Tiratū.

We were also excited to hear about Te Tiratū’s new Rangatahi Māori Hauora Leadership Programme. The programme will strengthen rangatahi Māori connection to hauora and bring insights from the next generation to help shape the future of Māori health.

Ngā mihi nui to Te Tiratū for having us. We really enjoyed hearing from the amazing providers who shared their mahi.

It was a pleasure to attend Neurofest, hosted by our friends at Spectrum Connections at the Merivale Community Centre in Tauranga.

We were delighted to be part of an event that brought together people, whānau, organisations and the wider community to connect, share information and celebrate neurodiversity.
