NATIONALS 2026 !!!!

Nationals kicked off Thursday with practice on the Rotorua track 🏁🔥 Being part of the ROK SV class means a fresh engine, so it’s been early starts for us ⏰💪 but all worth it!

Practice went really well and gave us a chance to dial in what suited me and the track 🎯 Qualifying was strong too we held 3rd for most of it but got caught on the last lap, finishing 4th 😅 Still a solid place to start heading into the heats!

Heat results:
• Heat 1 – 4th 🏎️
• Heat 2 – 3rd 🥉 with the fastest lap time as well
• Heat 3 – Crossed the line 3rd, but a start infringement dropped us back to 8th 😬 Despite that, consistent driving across the heats secured us 3rd overall going into the Pre-Final 💯

Massive thank you to Tasman 🙌 for welcoming us into the tent, and to James McLaren and Brendan for all the support and guidance you’ve given Dad and I over the weekend 🤝 really appreciate it!

Pre-Final is this morning 🌅 with the Final at 12pm 🕛 Hoping to come back with a great update tonight 🤞🏆

Really appreciate all the support, calls, and messages from back home 💙📱 it means a lot!

Racing update from the weekend NATIONAL SCHOOLS 🏁

Race 1 - 1st
Race 2 - 5th
Pre-final - 6th
Final race I was sitting 2nd, for 16 laps. Lap 17 with 3 to go, my chain snapped ending my podium chance😭

Ended up 5th overall which I’m actually really happy with considering how it finished. Was an awesome weekend of racing!

Was proud to represent St Johns College Hastings, along with Sean Holland. Together we brought home 3rd place, as a team at National Schools.

Massive thanks to Kartzone, Mitch Sparrow, Ryan Bell, St John’s College, and Sean for all the help and support 🙌 couldn’t have done it without you all!

To Mum and dad who were as guttered as I was. Next time I’ll be there. Your support and love mean everything, and I couldn’t do it without you. And for my family , sister and Lois at home thanks for the calls and support ❤️❤️

🏎️ Day 2 of Racing: What a Thrill!

The atmosphere was electric as we geared up for the Pre-Final and Final. I won’t lie—I was feeling a bit nervous at the start of the day, but I was more than ready to hit the track.

🔹 Pre-Final: Finished 5th, and I couldn’t be happier with that! It was a solid race with some clean, competitive battles that kept me sharp and focused.

When it came time for the Final, the weather decided to make things interesting—it was absolutely bucketing down with rain. Nerves were kicking in, but I pushed through and got out there, determined to put it all on the line. The race was intense, with water spraying up everywhere, but I held my ground and crossed the line 5th on track.

🌟 Final Results: After all was tallied up, I officially finished 3rd, and I couldn’t be happier! To top it all off, I also secured 3rd in the ROK Cup Series—another massive achievement that I’m super proud of!

Big Thank-Yous To:
👨‍🔧 Dad: My top-notch engineer—couldn’t do it without you! Thanks for keeping my kart flying.
👩 Mum: For always being there, cheering me on, and keeping us fueled up with the best food.
🏡 All my family back home in Hawke’s Bay: Your support means everything—you’re the best cheerleaders!
🔧 Jase from Kartzone: Appreciate the hand with the kart—it makes a big difference!

Ready to build on this momentum and keep pushing forward for the next event! 🚀

🏎️ Day 1 of Racing: In the Books!

What an awesome day out on the track! Kicked things off with qualifying, and I’m thrilled to have secured P6 overall—definitely happy with that result!

🔹 Heat 1: Finished 5th with a strong start that set the pace right from the get-go.
🔹 Heat 2: Came in 6th—solid run, feeling good!
🔹 Heat 3: Finished 8th after getting taken out in the last couple of laps. Not the ending I hoped for, but that’s racing!

I’m super proud of the performance and even more excited to get back out there for Day 2! Let’s see what the next round has in store! 🔥

🏁 Push harder, drive faster, and never look back!

Day 3 Sunday Finals
DVS
⭐️ Pre-Final: Crossed the line in 6th, but got a pushback after someone brake-tested me.
⭐️Final- I finished 9th on track but got slammed into off the start which was not how I wanted my DVS race to go. It was not the result I wanted, but that’s racing.
Rotax
⭐️ Pre-Final: Went out with a positive mindset and finished 20th, thought I’d missed the cut, but I got in the A final!
⭐️Final: After the tough DVS result, I just wanted to go out and have fun. Started 32nd and fought through to 19th! That made my weekend and I was buzzing.

Overall:
⭐️Huge weekend, plenty of highs, a few lows, but a massive learning curves and heaps of fun.
HAPPY EASTER AS WELL 🐣

Massive Thank you to…

NATIONALS 2025

Day 2 Saturday Heats
⭐️DVS - Heat 1: Solid race, finished 5th—clean, fair, and fun. Heat 2: Started raining just as we rolled out the gate. On slicks it made it slippery as, but brought it home in 7th. Heat 3: Ended up 8th after a frustrating engine issue.
⭐️Rotax- Heats 2 & 3: Both finishes in 14th—happy with those. Heat 4: Got caught in a couple of incidents and dropped back to 21st.

NATIONALS 2025
Day 1 Friday Qualifying
⭐️DVS- Wild start to the weekend. Cyclone Tam rolled in with 100km/h winds, heavy rain, and annoying mist. We were chasing the kart setup all day. Ended up qualifying 10th overall. Bit gutted with that, but stayed positive and focused on the racing ahead.
⭐️Rotax- This class was different, over 50 drivers meant and were split into two groups. I had one heat on Friday and grabbed P12, which I was stoked with!
