The Kitten Inn page admins are Susan McNair, Wendy Oliver, and Sinead McNair. We are registered non profit animal welfare group based in Kelson, Lower Hutt. We generally have kittens (and sometimes the mother cats once they've been spayed) available for adoption almost all year round. Our kittens are vacationing at the Kitten Inn while they await collection for their forever homes. During their stay they have become very social and have learnt the ways of the litter-box. A school went into lockdown after a teacher spotted what looked like a mountain lion nearby. 🐾🚨

Officials rushed to check the area, expecting to find a dangerous wild animal.

Instead, they found George.

George was actually a very large orange house cat, casually sitting there with a rat. 😂🐱

What looked like a serious wildlife emergency turned into one of the funniest school scares imaginable.

Sometimes the “mountain lion” is just a neighbourhood cat with excellent timing. 🧡
