Keeping our community safe, together. ๐Ÿ’š

Weโ€™re proud to see another important addition to the Open Country Community Stadium โ€” a new AED, available 24/7 for Matamata College and the wider community.

A huge thank you to Hato Hone St John Matamata and the Matamata Area Committee for making this lifesaving equipment available to our community, and to Reegan Stewart for installing it free of charge.

With the Stadium welcoming our community every day for sport, events and activities, having an AED readily accessible is an important part of keeping everyone safe.

Weโ€™re proud to support a facility that puts Community First. ๐Ÿ’š

The name behind the Stadium ๐Ÿฅ›๐ŸŸ๏ธ

Have you ever wondered why weโ€™re called the Open Country Community Stadium?

Our name reflects the incredible support of our Naming Rights Sponsor, Open Country Dairy Ltd.

Open Country has been a huge part of bringing this facility to life and helping create a space that belongs to the whole community.

From school sport and local competitions to community events, training sessions and everything in between, the Stadium is here because organisations like Open Country believe in investing in our community and its future.

So next time you walk through the doors of Te Whare Hui Ora, youโ€™ll know thereโ€™s a pretty special story behind the name. ๐Ÿ’š

Thank you, Open Country, for helping make this possible.

๐Ÿ’š YOU HELPED BUILD THIS.

Sometimes itโ€™s worth looking back at just how far weโ€™ve come.

From an idea discussed for yearsโ€ฆ
To fundraising, planning and plenty of hard workโ€ฆ
To construction, roof shout celebrations and those final finishing touchesโ€ฆ
And now โ€” a stadium full of people, sport, laughter and connection.

The Open Country Community Stadium was built by our community, for our community.

And every time someone walks through these doors, another chapter is added to the story. ๐ŸŸ๏ธ

Thank you to everyone who helped make Te Whare Hui Ora a reality. ๐Ÿ’š

Itโ€™s more than a building. โค๏ธ

Itโ€™s a place for kids to discover sport.

A place for clubs to train.

A place for families to come together.

A place for our community to celebrate, compete and connect.

Thatโ€™s what Te Whare Hui Ora is all about. ๐ŸŸ๏ธ

MATAMATA โ€” settle this one for us ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ€ Basketball or ๐Ÿ Netball?

โšฝ Futsal or ๐Ÿธ Badminton?

๐Ÿ Volleyball or ๐ŸŽพ Pickleball?

Morning training or ๐ŸŒ™ Evening training?

Which one are you at the Stadium? ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ€ The Competitor โ€“ absolutely here to win.
๐Ÿ“ฃ The Supporter โ€“ louder than everyone else.
๐Ÿ‘Ÿ The Parent โ€“ โ€œWhat time does training finish?โ€
๐Ÿƒ The Coach โ€“ already organising the next session.
โ˜• The Social One โ€“ mainly here for the catch-up.
๐Ÿ† The Volunteer โ€“ somehow doing everything.

Be honestโ€ฆ which one are you?

Built for Matamata. Made for the community. โค๏ธ
