Who doesn't like Wanaka? We've been lucky enough to be involved in numerous projects in Central Otago over many years.

So when the Architecture + Design Library in Wanaka told us that they were expanding, we leapt at the chance to join their brand experience centre.

The Architecture + Design Library offers local and out-of-town industry professionals access to its architectural sample library, client meeting rooms, private offices and shared services support.

Now you can also try out Designers' Collection furniture while you're there!

When creating new designs, we give consideration to their versatility and multifunctionality.

We place considerable importance on how they will be placed in a home, their daily usage and how they will add layers of interest and appeal in a setting.

Our new Titoki coffee table is designed to be applied as a stand-alone piece or be paired with ottomans. The table is oblong is shape with soft radiused corners. The architectural profile of the steel base is offset to allow ottomans like our Taka stool to be placed either side.

Grouping these designs allows you to mix materials and finishes to pull the setting together. As we custom-make the tables and ottomans, you can select your own materials and finishes to tailor these pieces for your project.

It’s such a buzz when you’re putting the finishing touches on a client’s new home!

Last week, we completed this Wanaka project in collaboration with Bespoke Interior Design. Eighteen months in the making, it was very gratifying to see it all come together.

We love projects like this where we are engaged early in the concept development and see it right through to installation.

It's no surprise then that clients like to include swivel chairs in their living spaces. Chairs like our Marni provide the flexibility to spin from their interior position to enjoy the exterior vista.

We offer a range of swivel chair options that can be trialled in our showroom or viewed on our website.

If you're wanting to make a visual statement in an entrance or passage way, upholstered benches like the Chelsea bench seat can fit nicely into these spaces.

Upholstered pieces this can soften the surrounding hard surfaces and functionally create a relaxing resting point.

Mixing materials and shapes is one of the fun elements of specifying.

This setting by features the Apito coffee table partnered with a Duo ottoman. The intensely veined marble tabletop sits on a medium bronze metal base.

The coffee table was originated to cantilever over other pieces such as the Duo ottoman. The soft crowning of the ottoman synchronizes nicely with the lozenge shape of the Apito's marble top.

The gentle curves of the Belgravia are embellished by the pure feather seats. We make the Belgravia as a sofa and an armchair. You can enhance the traditional cues of this design by adding turned legs with brass castors.

It can be a challenge finding the perfect sized sideboard for every space. That's why we make so many specifically to the dimensions, layout and finish for client's individual requirements.

Designs like our Morri sideboard can be adapted for applications in entrance ways, dining areas, free-standing behind sofas and also as entertainment units.

The internal layout can include shelving or drawers or a combination of the two. We regularly tailor these to carry client's electronics and to hide unsightly power points and panels.
