These American Oak headboards are all set to be stained and lacquered. They will be fitted with upholstered panels inserted in the upper section and be wall mounted. Power points and light switches will be fitted.

Making our headboards in Auckland gives us the flexibility to tailor them to your room and to create something truly personal.

There was a buzz in the air this weekend - despite the inclement weather. We joined the throngs soaking up the atmosphere in the central city yesterday.

Commercial Bay's Solstice celebration of fashion & food drew plenty of enthusiastic onlookers.

Wind and drizzle didn't dampen the queues lined up to get a first day saunter around the new Faradays luxury department store.

The City Rail Link was shipping folks from A to B with super slick efficiency.

Ponsonby Central diners got to enjoy the new covered al fresco dining alley ways ... and desert lovers queued patiently to indulge in Yomi's tempting frozen yoghurt delights.

Atelier Textiles is featuring our Gina modular sofa in their front window.

Made to order in Auckland, the Gina can be customised to your space in the fabric of your choice. This Gina is upholstered in Himalayan Beaver by Fabricut.

If you're visiting Atelier's Parnell showroom, try it while you're there. The internal back is padded with feather and the tiered foam seats are luxuriously soft to sit in to.

In this Auckland coastal retreat recently featured in Denizen Home Living, we made different forms in marble, brass, mirrored glass, fabric and leather. These materials were used throughout the home and clustered together as the centrepiece in key settings.

This layering of materials added aesthetic appeal and interest while also adding a multi-functional element to the furnishings.

Problem solving is a big part of what we do. Collaborating with designers and their clients to develop furniture for very individual spaces.

We love embracing that challenge and collectively creating beautiful pieces that do justice to the client's architecture and lifestyle needs.

Designing a dining table for this home just featured in Denizen Modern Living is a fine example. The dining area is the first that you see when you enter the home. The scale is substantial including a double story ceiling with large oval skylight. The dining space is connected to all the living areas and also visible from the upstairs bedrooms, walkways and living room.

The solution was a nearly four metre long timber tabletop cantilevered over a marble island base. Brass inlays surround the marble protruding from below.

The combination of the custom dining table, tubbed chairs and cascading pendant generated the wow factor needed in this impressive setting.

We love projects that are a true collaboration with the interior designer and client.

This Auckland coastal retreat just featured in Denizen Modern Living was one of those projects. Engaged early, we worked with Bespoke Interior Design and their client for nearly 18 months refining and creating highly personalised furniture. The furniture speaks to the client's lifestyle and their architecture.

For the main entrance, we created this bespoke console with walnut waterfall ends linking to this material used throughout the home. The walnut ends are connected by coloured glass and topped with Emporador Dark marble that we also used on various tables.

We wrapped the large mirror above the console in walnut to tie the setting together. We created the over-scaled brass vase to complete the setting.

These custom pieces provide the ideal teaser for what lies beyond the entrance, supporting the architecture without dominating the space.

We customised this modular design as the centrepiece for the hub of this striking waterfront home. The layout was designed to anchor this generous family space accentuating the dual purpose of the room with an inward focused aspect facing the fireplace back-to-back with the other focused on the commanding views of Rangitoto and the Hauraki Gulf.⁠

Colour, texture and interest are created through carefully curated materials.

This setting by blends contrasting timbers, fabrics, stone, glass and steel to create depth without over dressing the decor.

The custom Greenwich coffee table in walnut is paired with patterned Bello ottomans. These are placed in front of the Nazare sofa with an upholstered leather frame and contrasting fabric cushioning. A Leo side table with dark mirror tabletop cantilevers over the sofa.

This room is divided into two seating areas by a custom cabinet clad in walnut but with a black internal shelf space.

The brief was to create a tranquil retreat away from the bustling main living area below - a haven to relax and enjoy the stunning ocean views that lie beyond.

A well-proportioned coffee table anchors a seating area and supports easy movement around it.

The Salta coffee table is round in shape to contrast with the square layout of this setting. The honed marble tabletop is clashed with steel giving the table a substantial form while lightening the overall design.

The symmetrical base allows the Salta coffee table to be paired with smaller tables or ottomans. This arrangement creates an appealing eclipsed grouping with soft edges inviting better flow through the room.
