Good luck to everyone racing for 4STAR today as the first race of the new ZRL season gets underway!

The teams are sorted. The training is done. Now it’s time to race. 🚴💨

But above all — have fun.

With the exception of a couple of riders I’m still waiting to hear from, I’ve managed to place everyone into a team and league that suits them. A couple of teams still have room for another rider.

I’ll register all teams tomorrow (except A Grade) and assign captains where needed (for administrative purposes only)

Please check your team. If you’re happy, all good 👍 If anything needs changing, or you’re not listed but want to race, please let me know.

I’ll add new channels and tag all riders in their team tomorrow.

⭐ ZRL RIDERS — IMPORTANT ⭐

Hey team,

If you’ve signed up to race ZRL with 4STAR Racing, please make sure you’ve joined our Discord server.

I’m finalising all of our teams today. There are still a few riders I need to shuffle between leagues and race times to get the squads balanced, so I’ll need to check with those riders about what alternatives are suitable.

Discord will be our main communication platform throughout the ZRL season, with each team having its own channel for race passes, weekly selections, team chat and everything else you need.

If you’ve signed up but haven’t joined Discord yet — or you’re having trouble accessing the server or channels — comment below or send me a message and I’ll help get you sorted.

Whether you’re racing, training, cruising or recovering, get involved however suits you this week — and don’t forget to share what you’re up to with the team.

GETTING THE BEST OUT OF 4STAR DISCORD ⭐

Hey team,

With ZRL approaching and more team-specific channels being added, now is a good time for a quick reminder about getting the best out of our 4STAR Racing Discord server.

Discord can look pretty busy when you first open it, but you don’t need to follow every conversation or have notifications going off all day! The trick is setting it up so you see the stuff that matters to you.

📂 ACCESSING CHANNELS
Our server is divided into different channels for different purposes — general chat, events, racing, ZRL teams, results and other team discussions.

Simply tap the channel you want to view. For ZRL, each team will have its own channel where your captain can post race information, race passes, weekly squads and anything else your team needs.

🔕 MUTE CHANNELS YOU DON’T NEED
Not interested in a particular event or conversation? Mute the channel. You’ll still have access to it whenever you want, but you won’t be constantly notified.

On mobile, press and hold the channel name, select Notifications, then choose the notification setting that suits you. Depending on your Discord version, the wording or menu location may vary slightly.

🔔 SET NOTIFICATIONS THAT WORK FOR YOU
You don’t need a notification for every message. For most channels, setting notifications to Only is a good option.

That means you can still follow the conversation when you want without your phone buzzing every time someone posts.

For something important — such as your ZRL team channel — you may want more notifications turned on during the season.

👀 CHECK YOUR ZRL CHANNEL REGULARLY
Once the ZRL teams are finalised, your team channel will become the main place for communication between you, your captain and your teammates.

Please keep an eye on it. Your captain will use it to organise the five riders racing each week and share the information you need to get into the race.

💬 GET INVOLVED
Discord works best when people actually use it!

Ask questions. Share results. Congratulate teammates. Organise a race together. Post something funny. Join the conversations that interest you.

You absolutely don’t have to read everything. Set up your notifications, mute the channels that aren’t relevant to you and concentrate on the parts of the server you enjoy.

And if you’re struggling with Discord or can’t find something, just ask. There are plenty of people in the team who can help.

The goal is simple: make Discord useful rather than overwhelming.
