How many GBs can fit inside a kiwi egg?
Our Rotorua GBs have been baking it up for over four years now and recently held a belated celebration to acknowledge their hard mahi!
Head Bitch Stacey (front row, centre) shared "This morning we finally got to celebrate our 4th birthday with a morning tea followed by a wonderful tour at the Kiwi Hatchery, learning about everything they do to help save the little brown kiwi. Thank you to all who came to celebrate & thank you to the Rotorua Charitable Trust for their kind donation to help make this morning possible!" 🐣
Our volunteers bake and deliver their special treats without any expectations in return, but we are always so glad to recognise them!
Hari huritau to our Rotorua chapter 💛

A new GBB cookbook has hit the shelves!
We’re so proud and super excited to share the third GBB cookbook, Familiar Foods: Treats of Aotearoa 💛
Making and sharing food is a way of showing love and creating connections, across cultures and communities. When we began this project, we imagined a recipe book that would hold sweet baked goods from around the world but we quickly learned that not everyone in our community thinks the same way about ‘treats’!
So we took a much wider view of the word ‘treat’ and how food makes people feel connected and nurtured across time and space. Familiar Foods: Treats of Aotearoa is a collection of 43 recipes from 30 cultures, each translated into its language of origin and accompanied by a story from the contributor and gorgeous photos.
We hope you love it as much as we've loved bringing it together ⭐️
All the details to share with your friends and make a purchase are here: https://gbb.org.nz/shop/familiar-foods-treats-of-aotearoa/

❤️ Shout out to all our wonderful volunteers ❤️ happy international women's day!
Today (and everyday!) we want to shoutout the incredible women who contribute to Good Bi***es Baking 💛
Wāhine board members, HQ staff, bakers, drivers and Head Bi***es pictured here contribute so much time and aroha into our kaupapa - for which we are so grateful!
We also support a variety of recipient organisations who tautoko women, include refuges, centres, support groups and more across Aotearoa 🍰❤️ Today we celebrate the achievements, and continue the call for gender equity 🌏

Such good programmes, happy that Rotorua is one of the chapters that do the Sweet As Hapori programme ❤️
It's hard to believe 2024 is winding down already – we’ve had a huge year and we know it has been a biggie for many others as well
As our last fundraising drive for the year, today we are launching a crowdfunding campaign to support our Prison Bake and Sweet As Hapori programmes in 2025. Each programme costs about $4,000 to run, including ingredients, resources, volunteer koha and staffing. For this campaign, we’re focusing on the resources, which cost about $300 per programme and include recipes, baking boxes, ingredients flyers and manuals for our volunteers.
So far for 2025, we have Prison Bake booked into six facilities and Sweet As Hapori in two centres - a total of 32 iterations of our programmes!
Head to our Givealittle to donate https://bit.ly/GBBCommunityGoodCampaign 💛
