Viewtec NZ

This is what year-round outdoor living actually looks like in Central Otago.

The view's the reason you built here - but the wind, the cold snaps and the shoulder seasons are the reason spaces like this so often sit unused half the year. Frameless glass sliders solve it: slide them closed and you've got a warm, sheltered room that holds its heat on a crisp day; slide them open and it's all part of the outdoors again. The glass all but disappears either way, so nothing ever comes between you and that outlook.

Shelter when you want it, wide open when you don't - and a view that never has to compromise.

We're Viewtec. A local Central Otago team, 20+ years in the trade. One crew measures, makes and installs every job, backed by our 10-Year Viewtec Assurance and a 12-month check-in once it's in.

Another glorious Wanaka day… ruined by the wind. Sound familiar?

You build the deck, you set up the outdoor area, you picture long lazy evenings out there - and then the wind turns up and you're back inside by six. Is this the reason your beautiful outdoor space barely gets used?

Frameless glass sliders fix it without boxing you in. You get a proper wind break and warmth that lets you actually use the space - while the view stays completely open, and the whole area still opens right up on the still days. Shelter when you want it, wide open when you don't.

Don't just take our word for it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There's no better proof than a customer who liked the first fence so much they had us back to do a second. That's the quote-to-install experience we aim for on every job - seamless, well communicated, and finished to a standard you'll be glad you didn't compromise on.

Safety, without compromising the view.

Ever bought something labelled "stainless steel" that rusted anyway?

It's an annoying reminder of something we think about constantly: a product is only as good as the conditions it's built for.

Otago asks a lot of anything left outside. Frost and snow in winter, blazing dry heat and fierce UV in summer - and pool fencing cops all of it, every season, for years.

Get the materials or the finish wrong and it shows fast.

That's why we only install products engineered to stand the test of time out here. Quality hardware designed to perform across our harsh conditions, backed by our 10-Year Viewtec Assurance. One local team measures, makes and installs it, and comes back at 12 months to check it's still performing.

Because "looks good on day one" is easy. Still looking good after ten years is the bit that counts.

Safety, without compromising the view.

Frameless glass gives you both: a clear, compliant barrier that keeps kids and pets safe, and a view that stays wide open.

Thinking about glass around the pool, the deck or a new outdoor room? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Google review)

This one made our week but we're most proud of the part you can't photograph: communication that stayed faultless from the first quote to the final handover.

Nothing between the pool and the view - this is exactly how frameless glass should look.

This one was designed in from the start, alongside the landscaper and pool company, so every line sits right and the whole thing complies without compromise.

A past client told us last week it's the best thing he's ever done to his house.
These Frameless glass sliders turned a windy, unusable room into his favourite spot - year-round. Keep the view, lose the wind.

If you want to be swimming by Christmas, the fencing conversation happens earlier than you'd think. ⏳

Most people call a fencer once the pool's in - and by then the surprises have already happened: no room left for the design they wanted, a surface that needs different fixings, a rushed compliance sign-off.

We might look like #4 on the list, but by bringing us in at the planning stage, the glass is designed into the build from day one. Smoother project, no budget blowout, ready for summer.

This is what we mean by "attention to detail"

Every gap, even to the millimetre. Every line, dead straight.

That's not luck. It's the difference between glass that's been installed, and glass that's been installed properly.

Frameless glass has nowhere to hide. There's no frame to cover a line that drifts, no chunky post to disguise an uneven gap. Every panel is measured, levelled and set to the millimetre - because this is what you should expect.

It's the part of the job most people never think to ask about. It's the part we care about most.

Because attention to detail isn't just how it looks on day one - it's how we work through the whole project, from the first measurement to the final panel.
