Happy Friday‼️

This morning we opened shop at around 12:40am, without knowledge of our new opening time none of our employees were there. We did however find this distinguished man who obviously forgot his keys and tools to take it upon himself to do it for us. In his drawn out 3 hour shift (probably the longest shift he’s ever had to work) he managed to clean out the on farm service trailer, make sure none of our other employees needed keys to get in the gate and didn’t feel like walking home so took a mode of transport with him.

It’s hard to find good help these days but when you’re willing to go the extra hours it really puts you above the rest.

The Tarawera Trail Bike Riders Club ride has been moved to THIS SUNDAY 👌

How do everyone
This Sunday will be our last ride for the season.
Sorry for the late notice, tell all your riding mates .
Unfortunately we won't have the food trailer this time but we will be putting on a BBQ sausage sizzle.

Where will you be riding this weekend?

We have had a massive interest in our Kids MX Social Club evening which is awesome!

Our first evening is next month on the 20th of October and we hope to see you all there. A few rules just to be aware of:

1. All kids riding must have a full face helmet.
2. There must be no skin showing, they do not need MX boots but they must be full coverage.
3. Armor is optional but recommended.
4. We unfortunately do not have any gear for hire or use at these events.

🏍️ TEAM REES SUMMER ROAD RIDES ARE HERE! ☀️

Summer’s coming, so it’s time to get the bikes out and enjoy some good roads with good people!

Join Mitch & Tony Rees for our monthly Team Rees Road Ride, leaving Team Rees Motorcycles at 4pm every second Tuesday of the month, starting October 13th.

All brands and all riders are welcome. This isn’t anything serious, just a good excuse to knock off a bit early, get out for a ride, meet some other riders and enjoy the evening. 🤙

Mitch will be riding the Honda CB650 E-Clutch, so if you’re keen to give it a go, have a chat with him about swapping bikes along the way. Or if there’s another Honda you’ve been wanting to try, get in touch with us beforehand and we can have a chat about organising a demo for the ride.

🏁 KIDS MX SOCIAL NIGHT! 🏁

Got a young one who loves riding, or maybe they’re just starting out and need somewhere to build a bit of confidence?

Come along to our Kids MX Social Night, held every 3rd Tuesday of the month (starting in October) from 4–7pm at 51 Kawerau Road, RD2, Whakatāne.

It’s not a race night and there’s no pressure to be the fastest (although try telling them that hah). It’s simply a chance for the kids to get out on their bikes, have some fun, meet other young riders and get a bit more comfortable on two wheels.

Mitch will be there too, and happy to pass on a few tips, answer questions and help the younger riders out.

‼️MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS MONTH‼️

With this month being motorcycle awareness month we would just like to remind everyone the safest ways to be on the road.

Being smaller than a car it is paramount to be as visible as possible on the road, having front headlights and tail lights really do the job.

As getting from point A to point B there will be a few turns and road conditions may vary, we recommend road tyres not slicks (specifically ones that have not done burnouts)

For being able to see behind you and check blind spots we recommend having side mirrors mounted on the front of the bike.

It is nice to let other motorists on the road know where you are going to avoid any collisions, we recommend getting a bike fitted with indicators.

Next time you are wanting a bike to get you were you want to go, head in and see our team and we would be more than happy to get you on a bike that fits road standards 👏🏼

We are happy to say that our bike was recovered yesterday after having no headlights made it very hard for the occupant to see there was a car in-front of them. The bike seems to be fixable with a little TLC and a coat of paint.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who sent in tips and went out of their way to help us find it.
You would think in their occupation they would be able to steal a brain.
Time to get her back to race ready, the team is on it 💪🏼

If the fairings have been stripped off or painted it has an Arrow high mounted exhaust fitted - the only one like it in nz

If you have stolen it, dump it and ring the police with no questions asked we just want it back
