Rivers are the real highways
Why: Before roads, communities grew along rivers. Many rural villages are still only accessible by dinghy, canoe, or foot track along a riverbank.

The purple “heart” is still making bananas
The teardrop-shaped banana flower at the bottom isn’t done yet. As it continues to grow downward, more bracts will open, revealing more hands of bananas above it. When it’s finished, the flower is usually cut off so the plant puts all energy into filling the fruit instead.

I was at the market place as usual to buy fruits when I got a glimpse of this figure an elderly man with thick beard and dreadlocks, I bet Many of you around Chuave must have seen him, known him or have crossed paths with him. I wanted to share this image to remind me of my trip to this particular area, it’s absolutely beautiful with spectacular views of limestone hills and mountains and the vegetation, it’s people and their lifestyle and the culture.

My 2022 trip to OBO Middlefly district a beautiful place. Canoes play a vital role as the main means of transportation in the entire region since most of the land area is swampland and floodpalins.
