TAMBAL

🩺 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄, 𝐋𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 ❤️

Last August 22, 2026, the SCORE (Standing Committee on Research Exchange) of TAMBAL conducted a seminar entitled “𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐬: 𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞” at Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.

This initiative was made possible through the partnership with the 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, whose support and collaboration helped bring this community-based health education activity to life. 🤝❤️

The seminar aimed to bring reliable, evidence-based health information closer to the community by equipping Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) with practical knowledge on hypertension prevention and management, while addressing common myths and misconceptions.

The BHWs actively participated throughout the seminar, sharing their experiences, raising thoughtful questions, and enthusiastically engaging in the discussions and interactive activities. Their willingness to learn and commitment to serving their community made the session both meaningful and engaging.

With the guidance of our resource speaker, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬, participants explored practical approaches to preventing and managing hypertension, separating facts from misconceptions and gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of heart health.

More than just a seminar, the activity was an opportunity to turn knowledge into action, empowering BHWs to share accurate health information and contribute to healthier communities.

Through this initiative, TAMBAL continues to live out its mission of 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲, turning knowledge into action, one myth debunked, one conversation, and one healthier community at a time. ✨
