Faith Rescue shelter was founded January 2017 by Cherry May Herrera~Righi.
It all started when she was just looking for the stray dog she regularly feed everyday but to her shocked she saw 99 dogs in the pound about to be killed by gunshot. After days of looking without success, she went to the city pound hoping the stray dog is there but what she saw in that pound was a 99 unwanted dogs about to be killed by gunshot. She was shocked and decided to rescue 13 dogs on that very day but thinking the fate of the remaining dogs gave her sleepless nights so she decided to go back in the pound to get the rest of the dogs. It was like an eye opener for her that she could not stop helping and saving neglected and abused animals. She now run the shelter alone with over hundred animals and also do feed strays everyday. Without any help from the government or any organization, she plea to ask for help for her advocacy to continue helping animals in need. You may send your help to the following:

💛For nearly 10 years, my husband and I along with our very few supporters, have been fighting so hard to keep our rescues safe and help starving stray animals too. But we can't continue helping these babies without more help.
😢We're exhausted, but we refuse to give up on them. These animals deserve a chance, and we need YOUR support to give it to them.

I'm still waiting until Saturday for my part-time work salary, but we're out of animal food tomorrow. I'm praying that someone will step up and help me make sure our rescues AND strays get their full meals tomorrow. Please 🙏 if you can spare anything, even a small contribution goes a long way.

Most of the time, you won't see me posting updates here because I'm either at the shelter or juggling 2 jobs just to keep our rescues and strays fed. But whenever I fall silent, God sends His angels to check on me💛
A few days ago, one of our FaithRescue angels messaged asking how I was doing, how the animals were, and when I shared that I was so worried we'd lose electricity on the 15th… she didn't hesitate. She reached out to her friends right away and before I knew it, help arrived.
Thank you, thank you for helping pay almost P15k in electric bills so we didn't lose power. Because of this, I was also able to fill 2 gas tanks for cooking at the shelter and put a full tank of gasoline in my car for errands and feeding the strays. My heart is overflowing🥹
To Yvonne, Hui Boon, Erin, and 2 anonymous angels, thank you for being God's hands when I felt like I couldn't go on anymore. You made me feel like I'm not alone. May God bless you abundantly for your kind hearts and love for these helpless animals🐾💛

On September 10, we received ₱17,564 from your Lucky Square fundraiser, again, for Faith Rescue🐾💕 Because of you, I was finally able to pay our dedicated caretaker on time P10,000 (we're so sorry for the usual delays), and buy 5 sacks of dog food P7,525 so our rescues had enough food AND strays had their full meals.
We also want to thank sweet Ronnie for drawing the lucky number, so adorable to watch at such a young age, already showing so much compassion for animals, just like her amazing mama💕
Words can't express how grateful I am. You showed up with love, and it made such a real difference that day. Please forgive this late post, the shelter kept me buried in work. But please know: every rescue and stray feels your kindness, even when I can't post about it right away.

Done with shelter work, babies are now sleeping🐾❤️ i have to prepare now myself to work😅
Sleep is life but dogfood is more lifer🤣
Preparing now the food for stray dogs then will prepare myself for my long 8hr shift of work😅

Done feeding and cleaning the indoor of the shelter, now its time to pick up the 💩 of almost 200 animals, prepare their dinner, food of strays, and feed the strays before ill start my night shift work until 5am😪
2 days ago, I brought my own boy Niko to Juan Veterinarian - Bacolod to donate blood for BACH Project PH rescued nursing mama dog Braunie, who has a severe leg injury and needs a transfusion.
When we arrived, I was so happy to see more people already came forward to donate! Later, we found out another rescued dog from Pawssion Project a boy named Mucho also needed blood. I immediately called Malou Perez , who has been helping FaithRescue for so many years, and they drove quickly with her brother Phillip Perez to meet us at the vet. Hearing her voice, so grateful that we were there to donate… she was just so happy it truly melted my heart. Because in our little way, we can help them save lives too💙
My good boy Niko got a bucket of chicken after he donated blood, which he shared with our patient Carmel and some of the Pawssion dogs being admitted; it brightened their day. Malou is just so sweet, she even fed our recent rescue Carmel right there at the clinic.
It felt so heartwarming to see rescuers helping each other. I can only pray that all rescuers, stray feeders, and individuals will continue to work together to help animals in need🙏❤️
