The Module - Engineering UNO-R

𝐀 𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐄𝐍. The College of Engineering greeted its newest batch of future engineers as they passed by the Engineering Building during this year's campus tour on July 28, 2026.

The participants were introduced to the college's academic environment, facilities, and community, giving them a firsthand look at the learning spaces where future engineers develop their knowledge, skills, and professional values.

Among the participants were incoming first-year Engineering students Ginnithon N. Craus and Marlian Jinelle Dolfo, who shared their impressions of the campus tour. Craus expressed excitement about pursuing Engineering despite anticipating the challenges of the program, while Dolfo described the experience as enjoyable and appreciated the opportunity to meet some of her future classmates despite the long registration lines.

The campus tour served as one of the university's welcoming activities for incoming students, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the college and prepare for the start of the academic year.

𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐇. The College of Engineering successfully held its On-the-Job Training (OJT) Culmination Activity at the University Gymnasium today, July 24.

With the theme “The Glow Up: Re-Engineering Potential Into Industry Excellence”, the event served as a platform in bringing together engineering students, faculty members, and company partners in celebration of the successful completion of the students' internship journey.

“As future engineers, may we cherish these learnings from our OJT in our minds and souls, and always bring them wherever our aspirations will take us.”, Jhon Daived Castillo, BS Chemical Engineering student, expressed in his testimony.

Moreover, company partners were awarded with certificates of recognition as a way to honor their cooperation and commitment in shaping the growth of engineering students.

𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒. Bringing its summer celebration to a close, the College of Engineering recognized the champions of Summerfest 2026 during the awarding ceremony held on July 22.

Champions from Pickleball, Basketball, Volleyball, E-sports, and the Amazing Race were honored for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

Amid the summer heat and spirited competition, the Tigers showcased determination, resilience, and exemplary sportsmanship in every event. The awarding ceremony marked the culmination of weeks of friendly rivalry, celebrating not only victories but also the camaraderie, teamwork, and unwavering Tiger spirit that defined this year's Summerfest.

𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘. Team Garagaak Garagumo emerged as the champion of the Summer fest Volleyball Tournament after showcasing outstanding teamwork and determination throughout the competition held at the UNO-R Covered Court and Amphitheater, July 22.

Each tiger displayed precise serves, receives, and full of power spikes. The match was intense because every player gave a lot to pressure the opposing team.

Players demonstrated strength and effort to defend their team, however, although it was a close match, the team effort of team Garagaak Garagumo awarded them the victory in the match against Team Summer Time.

"Sadya gid ang experience, sang last bi super prepared kami and full ang amon line up, subong bi kay ging move na alang alang kami sa line up. Pero okay lang kay hambal namon ma sadya sadya lang kami since hampang hampang lang mani. Kag thankfully ang outcome sang amon pangasadya, nag champion kami" one of the players and the MVP of the game said after being asked about how his experience in today's game.

This event does not only allow the students to enjoy but also enables them to build connections with everyone even before the kick off of the new academic year.

𝐏𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐏. Powerful smashes echoed as Team Pakta roared in the Pickleball Game against Team Big D***s with a 15-13 score at the University’s Tennis Court, July 22.

“Since it’s my first time playing Pickleball. I enjoyed alot. Kay wala ko nag expect nga may e pakita ko sa amo na nga hampang kag syempre sa bulig sang akon upod [Salvatierra], ging guide yako pano mag play” shared Amar, Abegail T., one of the players in Team Pakta alongside Salvatierra, Kristoffer John A.

Moreover, the following teams standing are as follows:
3rd- Team Pikol Vorl
4th- Team Laot Bola
5th- Team PZ
6th- Team Tatak CpE

Additionally only the Top 4 teams earned the spot at the semifinals, which set the atmosphere with tension and excitement.

As team Pakta hailed victor, the College of Engineering will acknowledge the winners of Summerfest 2026 later at the Engineering Lobby to conclude the events of today.

𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃. Several teams from the College of Engineering participated in the Amazing Race today, July 22, at the University Field.

The teams raced through different stations, completing challenges that tested their communication, critical thinking, and teamwork under pressure. Throughout the activity, participants demonstrated determination and sportsmanship as classmates and supporters cheered them on at every checkpoint.

Team Bang emerged as the champion. Whereas, Team Juliana's Daughters secured second place, followed by Team Ivana Alawi Iphone 17 Promo Please as third place.

"Sadya, at the same time daw ka team building lang siya kay before nag start ang game nag talk na kami nga ma enjoy lang. Then biskan pila ka minutes pa lang kami nag inupdanay nag super enjoy gid kami.", stated by Jigo Johan Dela Rosa, Team Bang leader when asked about his overall experience.

𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋-𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐙𝐘. An intense basketball clash between Team Freshmen and Team Bang had the crowd locked in during the Engineering Summer Fest 2026, at the University Covered Court on July 22.

A spectacular team duel where Team Freshmen and Team Bang kept trading sharp shooting, fast ball movement, and steadfast defense, showcasing their skill and determination on the court.

The match remained contested keeping the crowd on edge with every point. However, Team Bang asserted dominance, finishing the match with a 97-91 victory.

"Ang mindset ko sa sini nga hampang is mag-enjoy lang kag camaraderie lang sa fellow engineering students ko." Fein Earl Pellena, the MVP said in his interview.

Team Freshmen secured the second place with 97 points, while CM Farm grabbed third with 64 points, completing the Engineering Summer Fest 2026 Basketball Tournament standings.

𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒. Mobile Legends Summer Fest match started an intense battle as every player showcased mind-blowing attacks and unmatched defenses with a total of 4 teams fighting for championship at SJ201, today, July 22.

Moreover, players did not only displayed witt, skills, and talent, but they also highlighted teamwork, coordination, and disciplined all throughout the game.

"Nag preparar kami 5 days straight biskan ano ka budlay sang amon situation para ma pirde namon ang mga kuntra namon. Biskan ano ka budlay saamon kis'a mag practice kag hindi complete mayo kis-a na kaya dyapon namon." Marve Gervacio, the game's MVP said in an interview about their preparations for today's match.

The game saw all teams exchange decisive plays, and breakthroughs every setback. The match ended while serving its purpose to be an opportunity to deliver stronger communication, and sportsmanship to the college.

The College of Engineering comes alive as SUMMERFEST 2026 officially kicks off, bringing together students, faculty members, and staff for a day of fun, fellowship, and school spirit.

The venue is filled with excitement as participants take part in a variety of games and activities that encourage teamwork, friendship, and camaraderie. Laughter and cheers echo across the grounds as the Engineering community embraces the festive atmosphere.

More than just a recreational event, SUMMERFEST 2026 provides an opportunity for students to take a break from academic responsibilities, strengthen their connections with one another, and create meaningful memories beyond the classroom. Through this celebration, the College of Engineering continues to promote unity, collaboration, and a vibrant campus community.
