UM Bansalan ROTCU Official

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || 𝟐𝟎 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 The UM BANSALAN ROTC UNIT was invited to participate in the Tree Planting and Tree Growing Activity at Purok Millom,Balutakay, Bansalan Davao del Sur, Organized by the KABALIKAT RADIOCOM PHILIPPINES BUNKER BASE BANSALAN CHAPTER. The activity brought together the ROTC OFFICERS with the personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), and Philippine National Police (PNP) in a shared effort to promote environmental protection and community service.

Through this meaningful activity, the UM Bansalan ROTC Unit demonstrated that service goes beyond training it also means taking part in activities that protect nature and benefit the community.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || 19 SEPTEMBER 2026, the UMBC ROTC Unit conducted its 1st Semester, 5th ROTC Regular Formation at the UMBC Campus. The activity began with the Flag-Raising Ceremony and attendance check to ensure all cadets were present and properly formed.

SIR JAMES R. LINAO, MBA shared reminders on discipline, responsibility, proper conduct, and commitment, emphasizing the importance of character and purposeful service. PVT KENNETH TIRANDO, PA (RES) discussed new military leadership, while PVT LIEMARK SAMAR, PA (RES) delivered a lecture on Intro to intelligence.

With the guidance of the ROTC Training Staff, the formation concluded with a formal dismissal, marking another productive day of learning, discipline, and camaraderie.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || 19 SEPTEMBER 2026, the UMBC ROTC Unit officers, led by NSTP Coordinator SIR JAMES R. LINAO, MBA and ARZEE DAYNE E. AMAR, MSCJ, took part in a community clean-up drive. The activity aimed to help restore and maintain the cleanliness of the town after the recent festivities.

The initiative demonstrated the officers’ commitment to community service while strengthening their sense of responsibility, teamwork, and camaraderie. Through their active participation, they showed how young people can contribute meaningful efforts toward the betterment of their community.

The UMBC-ROTC Unit sincerely expresses its appreciation to the Local Government of Bansalan for its continued support and encouragement. This activity reflects the united efforts of the youth and the community in promoting a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || On 14 SEPTEMBER 2026 The Entrance of Colors during the SEMINAR ON AWARENESS AND PREPAREDNESS FOR MASS SHOOTING INCIDENTS 2026 held at the University of Mindanao Bansalan College Gymnasium , Poblacion Dos, Ramon Delos Cientos Street, Bansalan, Davao del Sur

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || 12 SEPTEMBER 2026 The UMBC ROTC Unit gathered at the UMBC Campus for its 1st Semester, 4th ROTC Regular Formation. The activity began with the Flag-Raising Ceremony, followed by a complete attendance check to ensure that all cadets were present, accounted for, and properly formed.

During the formation, SIR JAMES R. LINAO, MBA shared meaningful reminders on discipline, responsibility, proper conduct, and commitment. He emphasized that ROTC is not only about following commands and completing training, but also about building character, developing responsibility, and learning to serve with purpose.

The activity of the 47th National Reservist Week Culmination Ceremony, conducted by via Zoom, was guided by SGT LEONIL S. JUBAHIB, INF PA, allowing the cadets to take part in the celebration and recognition of the dedication and service of the country’s reservists.

A lecture on Philippine Military History was conducted by PFC JOSELITO FLORENTINO, PA (RES), followed by a lecture on Military Courtesy and Discipline delivered by PVT RENZ ARLIN C. BASILAD, PA (RES). These sessions provided the cadets with valuable knowledge and strengthened their understanding of military traditions, courtesy, discipline, and service.

The activity was further supported by the presence of the ROTC Training Staff, whose guidance and supervision contributed to the successful conduct of the formation. The activity concluded with a formal dismissal, marking another productive day of training, learning, discipline, and camaraderie among the cadets.
