The Municipality of Bayog, through the Bayog Rural Health Unit, officially kicked off the School-Based Immunization (SBI) 2026 today during the flag ceremony.
The activity was highlighted by the message of Ms. Mary Grace C. Omecnol, RN-NDP and strengthened through the continued partnership of the Department of Health, headed by our Municipal Health Officer, Dra. Gretchen A. Dubrico, and the Department of Education, through our District Supervisor, Sir Jose Sagrado Estano.
This important activity is made possible through the full support of the Local Government Unit of Bayog under the leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Celso A. Matias, together with our supportive key officials.
The Bakuna Eskwela Program aims to protect eligible learners against vaccine-preventable diseases through Measles-Rubella (MR), Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td), and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, helping keep our children safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
Amid the misinformation circulating on social media, the Municipality of Bayog continues to promote accurate information, awareness, and informed vaccination among parents and guardians.
As a meaningful show of trust in the program, selected Grade 1, Grade 4, and Grade 7 learners who participated in the launch included children of our own healthcare workers from the Bayog Rural Health Unitโdemonstrating our shared commitment to protecting every learner.
This marks the beginning of our shared mission to strengthen immunization and protect the health of our children.
