Welcome to Monday Money Cents—your weekly dose of bite-sized money trivia!

"𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭."

Every financial decision comes with a trade-off. Kapag ginamit natin ang pera sa isang option, we give up the potential benefit of another option—halimbawa, kapag pinambili mo ng wants ang ₱500, hindi mo na ito magagamit for savings, investment, or an important need.

This reminds us that 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲, kaya dapat pinag-iisipan natin kung saan ito may pinakamalaking value or benefit.

Before spending, ask yourself: "𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲!

The word 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆 carries a history rooted in ancient Rome, where salt was considered valuable commodity. Dahil sa historical connection nito sa salt, the word eventually became associated with the 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗼 payment na natatanggap natin kapalit ng ating trabaho.

Kaya mahalagang tandaan na behind every salary it represents your 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲.

From salt to salary, one word carries a story that has lasted for centuries.

Jokes aside, we hope everyone did their best. Whether you feel confident or still overthinking your answers, you made it through and that’s something to be proud of! 🤍

Welcome to Monday Money Cents—your weekly dose of bite-sized money trivia!

Putting all your money into one investment can be risky. Kaya importante ang 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, hindi mo nilalagay lahat ng money mo sa isang investment lang. Instead, spread your money across different assets. It help 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 and 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼, especially kapag hindi naging maayos ang performance ng isang investment.

Investing isn't just about earning more—it's also about protecting what you already have.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿: Diversify your investments, not your worries.
