Have you ever felt like you've been through so many heartbreaks that you've stopped believing love will come your way? But when the timing is right, God will make it happen. Someone will walk into your life and changes everything. That's exactly what Shin Azad sings about in "Hunyo," his dreamy new single released on June 11.

Blending slowcore, dream pop, and shoegaze, the song gently tells the story of someone learning to love and trust again after being hurt.

Inspired by artists like Ci******es After S*x, Strawberry Guy, and Radiohead, Shin Azad has found his own sound by creating songs that are calm, emotional, and easy to get lost in.

When I first heard it, it reminded me of "Everybody's Changing" by Keane, with a laid-back vibe that fans of IV OF SPADES might also enjoy.

Shin Azad's soft and soothing voice lets the emotions do the talking.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the song is how Shin blends slow core, dream pop, and shoegaze without making it feel complicated.

The slow core influence gives the song its gentle pace, letting every lyric and emotion sink in. Dream pop adds a soft, dreamy vibe through mellow guitars and soothing vocals, while shoegaze fills the background with rich guitar layers that make the song feel bigger and more immersive.

These styles work together beautifully, creating music that feels calm, comforting, and deeply emotional.

I'm sure many can relate with this scenario. After being hurt many times,, meeting someone who feels like an answered prayer makes you believe in love again.

Then comes my favorite part of the song, the Chorus.

I really love the line "𝙣𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙬𝙞 𝙨𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙜-𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙢 𝙣𝙖 𝙗𝙪𝙬𝙖𝙣." It's a clever way of connecting "Hunyo" (June), the sixth month of the year, with healing and new beginnings.

Instead of simply saying life got better, the song uses the month itself as a symbol of finally finding hope again. It's simple, creative, and memorable.

The music perfectly matches the lyrics. I love how the soft guitars, dreamy synths, gentle drums, and slow tempo make the whole song feel light and relaxing.

Mixed and mastered by Keith Morpheus Geronimo and recorded at Take One Recording Studio, the production gives every instrument enough space without taking attention away from the story.

This is the kind of song you'll want to play during a late-night drive, a quiet road trip, or while watching the rain from your window. I can also imagine hearing this live, with everyone gently swaying to the music and singing along. It's the kind of performance that doesn't need flashy effects because the song speaks for itself.
