We’re looking for an experienced Medical Biller to support a Mental Health Consultation practice.

Position Details:

• 30 hours/week | Long-term | Remote

• $5–$6/hour, based on experience

Role: Medical Biller

Key Responsibilities:

* Post payments accurately

* Submit and follow up on insurance claims

* Handle credentialing tasks

* Work aging and outstanding claims

* Call insurance companies for claim status and resolution

* Manage end-to-end revenue cycle workflows

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

* Proven medical billing experience

* Strong knowledge of the full revenue cycle process

There was a point in my life when I had to go back to where I started.

Out of need and desperation, I accepted a Customer Service role in a Call Center/BPO again.

The salary?

₱19,000. AGAIN.

And yes, after everything I had worked for, nakakababa talaga ng loob.

This was after 3–4 months of consistently applying for jobs and clients.

I applied.
I interviewed.
I followed up.
I waited.

And I got rejected.

Paulit-ulit. May 7 years na kong experience nito sa VA at niche ko na Recruitment, HR.

There were days na iniisip ko, Ano pa ba ang kulang sa akin?

But I kept applying because bills don't wait, and sometimes, you simply have to do what you have to do.

So I took the BPO job.

Then, during training, I missed one day.

It was during nesting. Very critical. The last 3 days of training. Sobrang lakas ng ulan that day, may bagyo and my commute was almost two hours.

I simply couldn't make it to work.

When my Trainer sat me down and told me they had to terminate me because of that one absence, I was devastated. Sobrang need ko ng work!

Imagine finally accepting a ₱19,000 job because you needed something stable, only to lose it because of one day.

Ang sakit. Kasi hindi pa nga ko nakakasahod ng buo non kasi di ko naman na cover buong cut off nila dahil alanganin yung start date ko.

I remember thinking, Ganito na lang ba talaga? Ulitan?

But sometimes, you do what you have to do when you need a job.

You swallow your pride.
You take whatever opportunity is available.
You show up kahit hindi na ito yung position na ini-imagine mong babalikan mo.

And there is absolutely no shame in that.

Because your worth is not measured by the salary you temporarily accept.

And your career is not defined by the job you had to take just to survive.

Little did I know, I wasn't taking a step back.

I was simply going through a chapter I needed to experience.

Not long after that, I landed a new remote client as a Recruitment and Credentialing Team Lead. With compensation that reflected the experience, skills, and value I had built over the years.

The pay I deserved.
The opportunity I was ready for.

Looking back, that termination still hurt.

But now, I see it differently.

Sometimes, what feels like a setback is simply preparing you for the opportunity you've been waiting for.

So if you're currently applying everywhere and getting rejected, please don't call yourself hopeless.

Baka pagod ka lang.
Baka discouraged ka lang.
Baka kailangan mo lang muna mag-start somewhere else.

Take the job if you need it.

Start again if you have to.

Walang nakakahiya sa pag-start ulit.

Because sometimes, the job you desperately accepted today is not where your story ends.

Keep showing up. Keep going.

You never know what opportunity is waiting for you on the other side of the rejection you're crying over today.
