ICYMI: SSC 45th Congress – The Legislative (Training Session)

The USJ-R Supreme Student Council 45th Congress Legislative Branch, headed by House Speaker Hon. Angel Glory A. Orias, conducted its Orientation and Legislative Training on June 13, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Room SN 202, USJ-R Main Campus.

All elected officers were present and actively participated in this essential training, which aimed to strengthen the competencies of House Representatives (HRs) in legislative work, governance, and student representation.

During the morning sessions, Ms. Mary Frances A. Ducay, 44th Congress SBM House Representative, facilitated the Resolution-Making and Council Act-Making Training. This was followed by Mr. Kyle Marco U. Barte, 44th Congress President, who discussed the SSC Constitution and its role in guiding the Council’s legislative functions.

In the afternoon, Mr. Daniel Niño Y. Fong, 44th Congress SAS House Representative and House Speaker, led the sessions on Document Processes and Parliamentary Procedures. This was followed by a Mock Legislative Session Workshop, which allowed House Representatives (HRs) to apply the concepts and procedures discussed throughout the training.
