I am currently working on the development and deployment of an AI/LLM-powered knowledge and intelligence system for a military base. 🤖🛡️
It is fully on-premises, offline-capable, scalable, and designed to bring modern AI capabilities closer to where sensitive information actually lives.
I am also preparing for the next engagement: an engineering consultancy focused on improving and modernizing the base network infrastructure, combining wired and wireless connectivity while exploring the feasibility of implementing a private 5G network.
Further ahead, there is also the potential to develop and deploy additional systems, including a Military Training System and a Vehicle Access Control System.
It’s an interesting journey that is taking me across AI, software engineering, network infrastructure, and potentially other mission-oriented systems.
To those who happen to read this, what’s keeping you busy at the moment? What are you working on? 👨💻

As technology continues to accelerate at an incredible pace, I can’t help but feel that one industry has been left behind more than it should have: agriculture.
Lately, I’ve been thinking seriously about starting a small greenhouse farm focused on growing microgreens and other high-value crops. Not just as a business venture, but as a way to better understand the challenges and opportunities in modern farming.
As a software engineer, I keep asking myself: How can technology genuinely help agriculture? Beyond AI, apps, and automation, how can we make farming more productive, more sustainable, and more accessible to ordinary people?
This is still just an idea, but I believe innovation shouldn’t be limited to software. Sometimes, the biggest impact comes from applying technology to industries that feed the world.
I’m curious…
Would anyone be interested in joining me on this adventure? Whether you’re a farmer, engineer, researcher, entrepreneur, or simply someone passionate about agriculture, I’d love to connect and exchange ideas.
Also, do you think a project like this could attract funding for research and development? My goal isn’t just to build another farm, but to explore how technology can solve real agricultural problems and hopefully contribute something meaningful to the industry.
This journey starts with learning. 🌱

🚀 Introducing Psydox QR Code Studio
Today, I'm happy to publicly release one of the tools I've been using personally for the past few years.
It started as a small utility that I built to make QR code creation easier for my own projects. Whenever I needed a new feature, I simply added it. Over time, it grew into a much more capable application, so I decided it was time to modernize it, improve the user experience, and share it with the community as free Windows software.
Psydox QR Code Studio is an offline desktop application that allows you to create professional and customizable QR codes with ease.
Some of its features include:
✅ Multiple QR Code Types
🎨 Customizable module styles, finder-eye styles, colors, gradients, and logo embedding
🛡 Built-in QR scan verification and reliability analysis
💾 Project saving, presets, and history
📄 Export to PNG, SVG, JPG, WebP, BMP, and print-ready PDF
This is also the first application released under my "Psydox Toolbox", a collection of desktop utilities that I originally developed for my own personal and professional use. Rather than keeping them private, I'm gradually polishing and releasing them in the hope that they may also be useful to others.
If you decide to give it a try, I'd really appreciate any feedback or suggestions for future improvements.

Thank you, and I hope you find it useful.
Has anyone else experienced this with their PLDT Fiber connection?
For several months now, I've been having a strange issue whenever I'm connected to our PLDT Fiber at home. I cannot access my web hosting control panel, Parsec doesn't work, RustDesk doesn't work, and a few other services are either unreachable or fail to connect.
Oddly enough, AnyDesk works without any problems.
At first, I didn't pay much attention to it because I could simply work around the issue by connecting through a VPN. But after dealing with it for months, it's starting to become really annoying.
What makes it even more confusing is that whenever I'm at our coffee shop, which uses Globe Fiber, all of these issues disappear using the exact same laptop.
✅ My web hosting control panel loads normally.
✅ Parsec works perfectly.
✅ RustDesk connects without any issues.
✅ Everything that doesn't work at home suddenly works.
The only thing that changes is the internet connection.
So now I'm wondering if this is somehow related to my PLDT Fiber connection. Has anyone encountered something similar? Could this be a routing issue, DNS issue, CGNAT, or some kind of network filtering?
I'd appreciate any insights, especially if you've experienced the same problem.
PLDT Home, any feedback?

Today, I'm excited to share something I've been working on for quite a while.
📖 Introducing the Rethon Language Specification v1.0
https://langspec.rethon.org/
Rethon is an experimental programming language that I started as a personal project to explore programming language design, compiler construction, and modern software engineering.
It aims to combine the readability and familiarity of Python with the performance, safety, and tooling of a modern compiled language.
The published specification currently consists of **20 volumes**, covering topics such as:
• Language philosophy
• Type system
• Functions
• Structs and Classes
• Protocols and Generics
• Modules and Packages
• Error Handling
• Concurrency
• Reflection
• Interoperability
• ...and many more.
Although the language itself is still under development, I wanted to publish the complete specification first. My hope is that it will serve as a solid foundation for the compiler, runtime, and tooling that will follow.
This is not backed by a company or a large team. It's simply a passion project that I work on in my free time, one step at a time.
Whether Rethon becomes a fully featured programming language someday or simply a valuable learning experience, the journey itself has already taught me more than I ever imagined.
If you're interested in programming languages, compiler design, or language architecture, I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
Thank you for following along on this journey!

🎮 Introducing Gamepenter: My Humble Game Engine Project That Kept Growing
Back in 2017, Gamepenter started as a university Final Year Project.
At the time, it was simply an idea: build a cross-platform 2D game engine and game development tool instead of creating a single game.
After graduation, the project quietly sat in the background. Like many personal projects, life, work, and other responsibilities took priority.
But the idea never completely disappeared.
In 2025, I brought it back and rewrote it in Python. Later that same year, I rewrote it again in C++ after running into performance limitations and realizing I wanted something that could grow much further.
Today, Gamepenter has become much more than the original university project.
It now includes a C++ runtime, SDL3 foundations, Python scripting, an ECS-based world model, 2D physics, scene-driven content, asset management, packaging support, downloadable samples, and early tooling.
It is not trying to compete with Unreal Engine, Unity, or Godot.
It is simply a long-term project focused on building an engine that I can confidently use to create my own commercial games while continuing to learn about engine architecture, tooling, and software engineering along the way.
Sometimes projects do not grow in months.
Sometimes they grow over the years.
And sometimes they need to be rebuilt more than once before they start taking shape.

Introducing Gamepenter: A Humble Game Engine Project That Kept Growing - Brian Rosario Gamepenter began as a 2017 university project and has since evolved through Java, Python, and now C++ into a serious Windows-first game engine effort with broader ambitions. In this introduction, the article explains what makes engine development uniquely complex, then grounds Gamepenter in that rea...
