BAKIT AKO NAGTATRAVEL?
Ako ay isang tour guide sa Coron, Palawan. Marahil may mga nagtatanong kung bakit gusto kong pumunta sa iba’t ibang lugar na dinarayo ng mga local at international tourists sa Pilipinas.
Simple lang ang sagot ko:
Hindi ako nagta-travel para magyabang. Nagta-travel ako para matuto.
Hindi lahat ng paglalakbay ay pagyayabang. Minsan, bahagi ito ng pagiging propesyonal.
Bilang tour guide sa Coron, Palawan, pinipili kong mag-travel sa ibang destinations na dinarayo ng mga local at international tourists.
Hindi para ipagyabang kung saan ako nakapunta.
Kundi para malaman kung ano talaga ang experience ng isang turista.
Dahil paano mo malalaman kung ano ang hinahanap ng guest kung hindi mo rin sinusubukang maging guest?
Paano mo maibabahagi nang maayos ang isang destination kung puro impormasyon lang ang alam mo pero hindi mo ito nakita o naranasan?
Para sa akin, ang pagiging tour guide ay hindi lang pagkakabisado ng script.
Ito ay pagiging curious.
Ito ay patuloy na pag-aaral.
Ito ay pag-explore.
At higit sa lahat, pag-unawa sa experience ng turista.
Kaya sa bawat lugar na napupuntahan ko, may bago akong natututunan—mga bagay na maaari kong dalhin pabalik sa Coron at maibahagi sa mga turistang nagtitiwala sa akin.
Hindi ako nagta-travel para maging mas mataas kaysa sa iba.
Nagta-travel ako para mas maging mahusay kaysa sa dati kong sarili.
Dahil ang tunay na tour guide,
hindi lang marunong magkuwento tungkol sa mundo—marunong din itong tuklasin. 🌏🌊✈️
