A uniform is more than a requirement, it is a symbol of identity, responsibility, and professionalism. Every thread reflects the values we uphold as future nurses, while every detail reminds us of the standards expected of the College of Nursing and Midwifery.

Along with wearing the prescribed uniform, students are likewise expected to observe proper hair and grooming, maintain appropriate accessories and jewelry, and present themselves with the professionalism that reflects the dignity of the nursing profession.

As future nurses, we are called to uphold the 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐄, 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒, and 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄 (𝐊𝐒𝐀) that define our profession. Wherever we go, inside the classroom, in the hospital, within the community, or beyond the walls of our institution, we carry not only our own name but also the identity of the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆 and 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

On 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 3, 2026, students from the 𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗖𝗙 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆, together with participants from various academic departments of 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, took part in a community outreach program held at 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲, 𝗗𝗮𝗲𝘁, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲. The institution-wide initiative brought together students, faculty, and staff in a shared commitment to community engagement and service.

The activity was conducted through the support of the 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝐸𝑥𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐴𝑓𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑠, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝑎𝑑𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, our 𝐶𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑠 𝑀𝑎'𝑎𝑚 𝐵𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑒 𝑉𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑎𝑛𝑎 and 𝑆𝑖𝑟 𝑅𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑒𝑙 𝐹𝑢𝑒𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑠, 𝐴𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑀𝑎'𝑎𝑚 𝐺𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑃𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑𝑎, and the guidance of our 𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑛, 𝐼𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑒 𝐹𝑙𝑜𝑟 𝑅. 𝑌𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑎.

As part of the outreach, the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆 facilitated registration, distributed health education pamphlets, conducted health education sessions, assisted in the deworming program, and prepared simple giveaways for the children. These initiatives complemented the various community service activities conducted by the other academic departments, reflecting the institution's collective dedication to promoting health, education, and social responsibility.

Beyond the services rendered, the outreach provided students with meaningful opportunities to engage directly with the community. Among the most memorable moments was interacting with the children, whose genuine smiles, infectious laughter, and heartfelt appreciation served as powerful reminders of the value of compassionate service. These encounters reinforced the essence of community health nursing, not only as a profession rooted in knowledge and skills, but as a vocation grounded in empathy, respect, and human connection.

Through initiatives such as this, the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆 continues to uphold its commitment to developing future nurses who are equipped not only with clinical competence but also with a deep sense of social responsibility and service to the community.

𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳! 🫂

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗖𝗡𝗠𝗦𝗖) – 𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗖𝗙 and the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗡𝗦𝗔) – 𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗖𝗙 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 convened for their first face-to-face meeting, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort dedicated to serving the student body.

The meeting was led by the 𝑃𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐶𝑁𝑀𝑆𝐶 – 𝑂𝐿𝐿𝐶𝐹, 𝑀𝑎'𝑎𝑚 Khyla Mercado , and the 𝐺𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑜𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑃𝑁𝑆𝐴 – 𝑂𝐿𝐿𝐶𝐹 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟, 𝑆𝑖𝑟 Jed Carlo Zamodio , together with the officers of both the student council and the organization.

The discussion centered on initiatives, plans, and collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing student engagement and promoting the welfare of the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. With shared goals and a common vision, both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to working hand in hand to deliver meaningful programs and activities for every Lourdeñian nursing student.
