Atty. Hermosisima will be remembered for his longstanding and dedicated public service, having served as Sangguniang Panlungsod Member from 2004–2010, City Vice Mayor from 2010–2019, and again as Sangguniang Panlungsod Member of the 8th City Council from 2022–2025.

Throughout his years in public service, he demonstrated a steadfast commitment to good governance, leadership, and the welfare of the people.

His contributions to the city and its community have left a lasting legacy that will be remembered with gratitude and respect.
We honor his life, his years of dedicated service, and the meaningful contributions he made to the development of Digos City.

🎓 𝗦𝗮 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗼𝗻, 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗢𝗙𝗪 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗼.

Ngayong taon, 500 kwalipikadong OFWs ang bubuo sa unang batch ng LEAP-OFWs scholars. Sila ay bibigyan ng pagkakataong maipagpatuloy ang kanilang pag-aaral at mas mapalapit sa pangarap na magkaroon ng college degree.

Maraming OFW ang isinantabi ang sariling edukasyon upang unahin ang kinabukasan ng pamilya. Matagal nang sinusuportahan ng OWWA ang pag-aaral ng mga anak ng OFWs. Ngayon, katuwang ang CHED, mismong mga OFW naman ang tutulungan nating makapagtapos ng kolehiyo.

Sa ilalim ng Lifelong Learning Education Assistance Program for OFWs o LEAP-OFWs, maaaring makatanggap ang bawat kwalipikadong benepisyaryo ng hanggang ₱50,000 educational assistance para sa tuition at iba pang assessment-related costs sa pagkuha ng bachelor’s degree sa pamamagitan ng Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program o ETEEAP.

Sa ETEEAP, maaaring kilalanin at bigyan ng katumbas na academic credits ang kaalaman, kasanayan, at karanasang nakuha sa trabaho. Ang bawat aplikante ay dadaan sa kaukulang assessment at kailangang matugunan ang mga requirement ng CHED at ng kinauukulang paaralan.

Matapos ninyong unahin ang pangarap ng inyong pamilya, panahon naman upang suportahan ang sarili ninyong pangarap.

Alamin ang qualifications at application process sa mga art card. Maaari ring magsimula sa reintegration.owwa.gov.ph at bisitahin ang eteeap.ched.gov.ph para sa karagdagang impormasyon.

Sa OWWA at CHED, ang karanasan ng OFW ay maaari nang maging daan tungo sa college degree. 💙🇵🇭

Kahinumduman nga ang unang hugna sa qualifying exam gipahigayon kaniadtong Hulyo 3, 2026, nga gipangulohan sa Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Digos ug sa City Mayor's Office isip kabahin sa proseso sa pagpili sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo sa programa.
Ang City Educational Assistance Program (CEAP) usa sa mga prayoridad nga programa sa administrasyon ni Mayor Josef Fortich Cagas aron mapalapdan ang access sa kalidad nga edukasyon sa mga kabatan-onan sa Digos City. Isip kabahin niini, padayon nga ginadugangan sa City Government ang pundo sa programa matag tuig. Ginapaningkamotan sa lokal na panggamhanan nga mosaka ang alokasyon niini ngadto sa ₱50 milyon sa sunod tuig, aron mas daghang estudyante ang makabenepisyo sa maong educational assistance.
