A new academic year means another year of student activities, ideas, and shared experiences. The Computer Science Student Council (CSSC) is pleased to share that it has been re-accredited as a College-Based Student Organization for AY 2026–2027, with Accreditation No. ISUE-SO-2026-018. This places the CSSC among the duly recognized student organizations of Isabela State University–Echague Campus. ISU’s student organization guidelines recognize the important role of student organizations in student participation, leadership, and campus life.

For the CSSC, this recognition means another year of doing what a student council is here to do—organizing activities, supporting students, and creating opportunities for the BSCS community to take part. It is also a reminder that behind every program are students who give their time, ideas, and effort to make things happen. Guided by SERVE. INNOVATE. ENGAGE., the council looks forward to continuing this work alongside the students and with the guidance of its advisers.

With the accreditation renewed, the CSSC begins another chapter with the people it serves at the center of its work. There will be activities to plan, ideas to explore, and plenty of learning along the way. The council is grateful for the recognition and ready to make the most of another academic year with the BSCS community.

A new academic year begins with a new team ready to take on the work ahead. For Academic Year 2026–2027, the Computer Science Student Council (CSSC) proudly presents its Executive Committee and Advisers—the people who will help represent the BSCS community, support student activities, and turn student ideas into something that can be shared, built, and put into action. This reflects the role of computing student organizations in creating opportunities for collaboration, learning, leadership, and community building.

In Computer Science, good work starts with understanding the problem, working with others, and finding a better way forward. The same mindset will guide the CSSC this year through SERVE. INNOVATE. ENGAGE. To SERVE means being present and responsive to students. To INNOVATE means bringing fresh ideas and creating programs that add value to the BSCS experience. To ENGAGE means making room for students to participate, connect, and have a voice in the community.

The year ahead will bring new ideas to develop, challenges to solve, and opportunities to make a difference. With the guidance of its advisers and the commitment of its officers, the CSSC is ready to take on the work—one idea and one initiative at a time. A new team is in place. A new chapter begins.

For us, ASEAN is more than a regional organization—it represents cooperation, connection, diversity, and a shared commitment to progress. As students and future technology professionals, we recognize our role in shaping a more connected and inclusive Southeast Asia.

The 2026 Philippine ASEAN Chairship is guided by three strategic priorities: Peace and Security Anchors, Prosperity Corridors, and People Empowerment. Together, these priorities place peace, shared prosperity, and the empowerment of ASEAN’s people at the center of the region’s future.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) students, together with the Computer Science Student Council (CSSC) Officers, participated in the College-Based Orientation conducted by the College of Computing Studies, Information and Communication Technology (CCSICT) for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

Held on July 28, 2026, at the Climate Change Hall, ISU-Echague Campus, the orientation formally welcomed students to the College and introduced them to the University's officials, faculty members, academic programs, student support services, policies, and student organizations.

The activity also featured presentations from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), including Guidance and Counseling, Scholarships, Student Organizations, and Academic Policies. Students were likewise introduced to the different academic programs under CCSICT and the recognized student organizations that foster leadership, service, and student engagement.
