Healthy financial habits can start even before your first paycheck.
At the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) Economic and Financial Learning Program for students and educators called EkonoMEya: Ekonomiya + Ako, Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat encouraged students to start building healthy financial habits early—from saving and spending wisely to making sound financial decisions.
She emphasized that the financial choices they make today help build the knowledge, confidence, and discipline needed to manage their finances throughout their lives.

LOOK: The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) concluded its 2026 Economic and Financial Learning Program (EFLP) series from 23 to 24 September 2026 in Legazpi City, with the final sessions focusing on the financial health of students and educators. The event reached 2,470 onsite and online participants.
The Legazpi EFLP followed earlier programs for the agriculture sector and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
