๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ (THS) actively participated in the Second Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026 demonstrating its commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety of learners and personnel.
The drill, conducted at 9:00 a.m., involved students, teachers, and school personnel who practiced standard earthquake response procedures under the guidance of Rey Fernandez, HT-II, and School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Coordinator Pete Buentiempo Cariaga.
As part of the exercise, participants carried out the recommended โ๐๐ฎ๐๐ค, ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐โ procedure, followed by a systematic evacuation to designated safe areas. The activity aimed to familiarize the school community with emergency protocols, improve coordination during disasters, and promote quick and appropriate decision-making in the event of a strong earthquake.
The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is a nationwide initiative designed to raise awareness and enhance preparedness for seismic hazards. Through regular drills, schools and other institutions develop the knowledge, skills, and discipline needed to minimize risks, prevent panic, and protect lives during actual earthquake emergencies.
By taking part in the NSED, THS continues to foster a culture of safety, resilience, and shared responsibility, ensuring that every member of the school community is better prepared to respond calmly and effectively when disaster strikes.
