⚜️Scouts gathered one more time to hone another vital Scouting skill—Whistle and Hand Signals🧤🔊

​Strong communication builds strong leaders. Using whistle and hand signals keep Boy Scouts organized, disciplined and prepared during every activity, training session and camp. Mastering these signals fosters teamwork, safety, leadership and unity across the entire troop.

The Department of Education (DepEd), through Advisory No. 154, s. 2026, informs schools about the World of Scouting Museum and its potential use as a learning resource and educational destination for appropriate off-campus activities. The advisory highlights the museum’s relevance to Scouting field activities, experiential learning, learner formation, citizenship, and leadership development, where the proposed visit is demonstrably relevant to the curriculum or other legitimate educational objectives.

Schools interested in undertaking a museum visit may coordinate with the World of Scouting Museum and/or the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), subject to applicable DepEd approval processes and requirements for off-campus activities. Participation is voluntary, and the activity remains subject to the applicable no-collection policy.

⚜️One command at a time!🫡

Scout Leader and Philippine Air Force Reservist Shane Morales recently led a training session on basic commands and drills, alongside proper flag handling and folding procedures.
​While the session proved challenging, the scouts demonstrated noticeable progress by the end of the day.

​Basic commands in scouting are essential for building discipline, unity, and order within a troop. Mastering these skills allows scouts to move and coordinate efficiently during drills, ceremonies, and camping activities.

Furthermore, these commands ensure safety by enabling leaders to mobilize the group quickly during emergencies, while simultaneously fostering leadership, confidence, and teamwork among the scouts.
