📍Third Quarter PDRRM Council Meeting

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) spearheaded the conduct of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Sharing, Consolidation, and Validation Activity, facilitated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

The activity was attended by representatives from the City and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (C/MDRRMO), Data Protection Officers, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs), Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg), and Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).

The CBMS provides valuable community-level data that can help identify population characteristics, vulnerabilities, available resources, critical services, and other conditions affecting communities. These data are particularly relevant to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), as they support the identification of risks and vulnerabilities and provide an evidence base for planning appropriate DRRM programs, projects, and interventions.

Through the sharing, consolidation, and validation of data among concerned offices, the activity aims to ensure that information used for DRRM planning and decision-making is accurate, consistent, updated, and reflective of the actual needs and conditions of communities.

Ultimately, strengthening CBMS data contributes to better risk-informed planning, preparedness, service delivery, and disaster resilience.

Hinihikayat ang lahat na gawin ang mga sumusunod upang mabawasan ang exposure sa haze:

Magsuot ng face mask o protective covering kapag kinakailangang lumabas.

Manatili muna sa loob ng bahay kung hindi naman kailangang bumiyahe o lumabas.

Isara ang mga bintana at pintuan kung kapansin-pansing mausok o malabo ang paligid.

Uminom ng sapat na tubig at manatiling hydrated.

Bigyang-pansin ang mga bata, senior citizens, buntis, at mga taong may respiratory o heart conditions.

Kung makaranas ng matinding hirap sa paghinga, pananakit ng dibdib, matinding ubo, pagkahilo, o iba pang seryosong sintomas, agad na humingi ng medical assistance.

Pinapayuhan din ang mga motorista na mag-ingat sa pagmamaneho, lalo na kung mababa ang visibility dahil sa haze.
