NACC RACCO 5 - Bicol Region

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘: On July 1, 2026, the Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) V, through its Alternative Child Care Section, facilitated the emergency placement of a baby to licensed foster parents, Spouses Alaurin of Legazpi City.

Earlier that same day, after one year and three months of providing a loving and nurturing home, the children previously fostered by the couple were successfully reunified with their biological family. Despite the emotional weight of saying goodbye, Spouses Alaurin never hesitated to open their hearts and home once again to welcome Baby, who was in need of emergency placement.

Just 26 days later, on July 27, 2026, Baby was successfully matched and entrusted to another licensed foster family, who was also ready to welcome the child with open arms and provide the love, care, and nurturing environment every child deserves.

From all of us here at RACCO 5, expressing our gratitude is the least we can do. We salute you both for your unwavering dedication, selflessness, and unconditional love for every child placed under your care.

Here is what Spouses Alaurin shared about their heartwarming journey as they welcomed the baby who was emergency-placed with them:

“Ang tanging hangarin lang talaga namin ay makatulong.

Nang malaman naming kailangan ni Baby ng emergency placement, hindi na kami nagdalawang-isip na buksan ang aming tahanan at puso. Mula noon, itinuring na namin siyang tunay na pamilya. Napakaswerte ko sa suporta ng aking pamilya sa pagpapadama sa kanya ng pagmamahal at kalinga.

Bagama't may lungkot nang i-entrust na siya sa kanyang bagong foster family, mas nangingibabaw ang saya dahil alam naming mapupunta siya sa tahanang magmamahal din sa kanya. Nakakataba ng puso na naging bahagi kami ng kanyang buhay.

The Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) V, through its Alternative Child Care Section, successfully facilitated another meaningful child entrustment under the Foster Care Program on July 27, 2026.

Once abandoned and left without the care every child deserves, this little one has now found a safe and nurturing home with licensed foster parents who have opened not only their doors but also their hearts. Through their love, guidance, and unwavering commitment, they will provide the care and protection the child needs while the most suitable permanency plan is carefully pursued.💙💛❤️

This important step allows the NACC, through RACCO V, to personally engage with the prospective adoptive parents, clarify the legal implications and responsibilities of adoption, and verify that the decision to adopt is made freely, voluntarily, and in the best interest of the child.💙💛❤️
