43 years ago today, on August 21, 1983, Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. made the bravest choice of all to come home. For years, he had been imprisoned, exiled, and threatened all for speaking up against injustice. Yet he knew he could not stay away while his country suffered. He stepped off that plane at Manila International Airport, fully aware he might not leave it alive. Moments later, his life was taken in a cruel, shocking act that echoed across the world.

He lived by the powerful words: "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒅𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓." And he gave the ultimate proof of that love. His death was meant to silence the truth—but it did the exact opposite. It woke up every Filipino who had stayed quiet. It lit a fire that would not fade, bringing millions together on EDSA to reclaim our freedom without even lifting a weapon. That peaceful revolution, which restored our democracy, began with his sacrifice.

Today, we pause not just to remember how he died but to honor how he lived with courage, integrity, and an unshakable faith in the Filipino people. The rights, freedoms, and voice we hold today are gifts bought with his life. Let us never take them for granted. May we use our freedom wisely, stand up for what is right, and love our country as deeply as he did.

Our 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 2026 was more than just a celebration it was a night filled with joy, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. From the moment everyone walked the red carpet until the last song of the Disco Night, the event was filled with excitement, energy, and smiles that truly reflected the spirit of the College of Education.

Our students looked absolutely amazing in their Hollywood-inspired outfits, confidently showcasing their creativity, elegance, and unique personalities. Every participant embraced the theme, making the venue feel like a glamorous Hollywood gala. From classic formal attire to modern red-carpet looks, everyone came dressed to impress, adding color and excitement to this special occasion.

A heartfelt appreciation also goes to our dedicated instructors and College of Deans, who graced the event with their presence. Your support, encouragement, and participation made the celebration even more meaningful. Seeing our faculty and students come together in one memorable evening truly reflects the strong bond and unity within our Rizwoods family.

The event became even more exciting with fun-filled games, engaging activities, delicious food every department, a lively photo booth in Dr. Daniel Pepito, and countless opportunities to meet new friends and reconnect with classmates. Every smile, every laugh, and every shared moment reminded us that college life is not only about academics but also about building friendships, creating lasting memories, and celebrating every milestone together.

As the formal program came to an end, the excitement continued with our much-awaited 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, where students and faculty enjoyed music, dancing, and a vibrant atmosphere. It was the perfect way to end an extraordinary evening, leaving everyone with happy memories that will surely be cherished for years to come.

To everyone who attended, dressed up, participated in the activities, and helped make this event successful thank you! Your enthusiasm, cooperation, and positive energy made the Hollywood Acquaintance Party 2026 a truly remarkable celebration. This event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the organizers, Student leaders, faculty members, Interns, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes.

As we continue this academic year, may the friendships we built, the memories we created, and the experiences we shared inspire us to support one another and grow together as future educators.
