2ND NURUNUTAN FESTIVAL
ZUMBA COMPETION

"GENERAL GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS"

✅TEAM COMPOSITION:
-Each Group shall consist of a minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 members/dancers. The group must include men and women dancers (all genders) who are bonafide residents of the Municipality of Linapacan.

✅PERFORMANCE TIME:
-Routines must last between 10 to 12 minutes. Going under or over the time limit will result in a point deduction of 2 to 4 points per minute exceeded.

✅MUSIC:
-Participants must submit upbeat, wholesome music or a remix (without vulgar or sexually suggestive lyrics)—often via flash drive—typically 1 to 2 days before the contest.

✅ATTIRE AND PROPS:
-Dancers must wear appropriate and modest fitness or Zumba attire. Safe hand props are allowed as long as they do not cause delays or pose hazards to others.

✅SUBMISSION OF ENTRY:
-The submission of music and final list of members shall be on September 29, 2026 and please look Mr. Daniel Apuen and Mrs. Joy Angelic Rebaya

✅JUDGES:
-The decision of the Member of the Board of Judges is Final and Irrevocable.

🎶STANDARD CRITERIA FOR JUDGING🎶

✅CHOREOGRAPHY & VARIATION:
- (40%): Creativity, proper dance steps, formation changes, and integration of core Zumba rhythms (like salsa, cumbia, merengue, and reggaeton).

✅EXECUTION & SYNCHRONIZATION:
-(30%): Team timing, coordination, and mastery of the dance routine.

✅ENERGY, STAMINA & STAGE PRESENCE:
-(20%): Projection, passion, and continuous enthusiasm displayed by the group.

✅COSTUME & AUDIENCE IMPACT:
-(10%): Visual appeal, appropriateness of attire, and overall entertainment value.

LITTLE MS. NURUNUTAN 2026

Who will be our Little Queen, who shines like the clearest waters of Calibangbangan?

GENERAL MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES/RULES
✅RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:-All candidates must be bona fide residents of Barangay Calibangbangan, Linapacan, Palawan.

✅AGE REQUIREMENT:-Candidates must be 8 to 12 years old at the time of the competition.

✅MAJOR COMPETITIONS:All candidates shall compete in six (6) major competitions during the final night.

✅MINOR AWARDS:-Every minor award won by a candidate shall earn ten (10) points, which will be added to the candidate’s overall score.

✅SUBMISSION DEALINE:
-September 20, 2026 and look Hon. Jinky Amisamis and Mr. Daniel Apuen

✅PROPER CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE:
-The Organizing Committee reserves the right to call the attention of, reprimand, or take appropriate action against any candidate who engages in untoward behavior or any act that may cause disturbance, disruption, or inconvenience during the scheduled activities.

📍SEGMENT OF THE LITTLE MISS NURUNUTAN 2026📍
✔️Production Number & Self-Introduction
-Candidates perform a synchronized dance routine in a uniform shirt or event outfit provided by the organizers, followed by a short mic introduction (Name, Age, and Representing Purok/Sitios).

✔️Talent Portion-A maximum 2-3-minutes performance (singing, dancing, gymnastics, declamation, or instrument playing). No hazardous props (fire, glass, or sharp objects) are allowed.

✔️Summer Wear-Contestants wear vibrant, trendy, and age-appropriate summer resort wear (e.g., sundresses, bright rompers, or styled beach-themed outfits). Strictly no revealing swimwear.

✔️Sports Wear-Candidates showcase functional or creative activewear representing a sport of their choice (e.g., tennis, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, martial arts).

✔️Creative Ethnic Attire (Katutubo)-Candidates wear stylized, creative representations of "native" looks and specifically highlight authentic Tagbanua cultural icons, textures, and lifestyle elements.

✔️Creative Eco-Evening Gown-Candidates shall showcase an elegant and creative evening gown made primarily from coconut-based and coconut-derived materials. Judges will focus on how raw coconut materials are transformed into a unique, fashionable, and sophisticated design

✔️Question & Answer (Q&A)-Questions for this age group focus on school life, friendship, role models, environmental awareness, or community values

JUDGING AND ADVANCEMENT
1. Judging per SegmentIn each segment, all candidates shall be judged based on the specified criteria for that particular segment.

2. Consolidated Scores and Advancement
-The scores obtained by each candidate from the six (6) major segments shall be consolidated to determine the candidates who will advance to the Top Three (3) or Top Five (5).

3. Preliminary Question and Answer Portion
📍Each candidate shall answer a question designed to assess their confidence, communication skills, understanding, and ability to express their thoughts clearly.
📍Final Question and Answer Portion
-The candidates who qualify for the Top Three (3) or Top Five (5) shall proceed to the Final Q&A PortionFinal Question: The remaining candidates shall answer the final question, which shall serve as the final basis for determining the winner.

✔️✅The scores from the Question and Answer Portion shall be added to the candidates’ previous scores, in accordance with the prescribed judging criteria, to determine the final ranking and winners.
