𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗥: 𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣

In line with Resolution No. 5, Series of 2026, issued by the Mabalacat City College – Supreme Student Council (MCC-SSC), Mr. Andrei John B. Del Rosario, the Vice Governor of the Institute of Teacher Education – Student Council (ITE-SC), was formally appointed as the Governor of the Council for Academic Year 2026–2027. The resolution was approved on September 11, 2026.

This resolution was made not only due to the absence of a Governor in the ITE-SC, but also in recognition of Mr. Del Rosario’s leadership credentials, dedication, and track record, acknowledging his full capability to assume the greater responsibilities of the Governor.

The formalization of this succession and appointment is deemed imperative to maintain administrative continuity, provide clear leadership, and empower the appointee to effectively execute executive functions for the student body.

This resolution and his succession have been duly considered by the MCC-SSC, together with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Office of the Director for Student Affairs and Services, marking a steadfast commitment to purposeful leadership, continuity of service, and the empowerment of the student body for what lies ahead.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Institute of Teacher Education – Student Council (ITE-SC) attended the seminar entitled “From Fear to Strength: Empowering Students in Safety and Resilience” today, September 18, 2026, at the Mabalacat City College – Main Campus Cultural Hall, together with fellow student leaders from across the college.

‎The seminar featured three informative and engaging sessions designed to equip students with greater awareness, preparedness, and confidence in responding to situations that may affect their safety and well-being.
‎
‎The first session, “Shaping Choices: Understanding Behavior to Prevent Violence,” was facilitated by Mr. Valentin from the Mabalacat Teen Information and GAD Resource Center. The session highlighted the importance of understanding human behavior, recognizing factors that may contribute to violence, and making responsible choices that promote safer and more respectful environments.

‎For the second session, “Safety First: Learning How to Respond in Emergencies,” Mr. Mallari, Community Educator from the Mabalacat City Fire Station, discussed essential safety practices and proper responses during emergency situations. The session emphasized the importance of staying calm, being prepared, and knowing the appropriate actions to take when faced with emergencies.

‎The third and final session, “Stay Safe, Stay Smart: Self-Defense Made Easy,” was facilitated by Mr. Gopez in collaboration with the MCC Taekwondo Team. Participants were introduced to basic self-defense techniques and practical ways to respond to potentially dangerous situations while prioritizing awareness, prevention, and personal safety.

‎The seminar was organized by the Guidance Services Unit of Mabalacat City College, led by its Guidance Head, Ms. Galang, in partnership with the Student Affairs and Services, headed by its Director, Dr. Sampana.
‎
‎The seminar aimed to empower students with practical knowledge and skills in violence prevention, emergency preparedness, and self-defense, while fostering a culture of safety, resilience, responsibility, and mutual care within the college community.
‎
‎As student leaders, the ITE-SC recognizes the importance of being informed, prepared, and proactive in promoting a safe and supportive environment for every student. The knowledge and lessons gained from the seminar serve as valuable reminders that building a safer community begins with awareness, responsible decision-making, and the willingness to look out for one another.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Institute of Teacher Education (ITE) successfully conducted a meeting with the Student Council and organizational officers of the Institute on September 14, 2026, at the Mabalacat City College – Dapdap Campus Event Center.

The meeting was led by the Dean of the ITE, Dr. Maureen P. Santos, together with the Program Heads and instructors of the Institute. The session focused on discussing various rules, policies, and guidelines that student leaders need to consider, particularly when planning, organizing, and proposing projects and activities.

The discussion also served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination between the Institute and its student leaders, ensuring that proposed initiatives are aligned with institutional policies, academic priorities, and the overall welfare of the students.

As one community, the ITE continues to foster collaboration, responsibility, and meaningful leadership among its student organizations and student leaders. Through open communication and shared understanding, the Institute aims to build a more organized, informed, and united community dedicated to creating meaningful experiences and opportunities for every future educator.
