Mabalacat CDRRMO Distributes First Aid Kits and IEC Materials to Private Schools 🚨⛑️📢

As part of its continuous commitment to promote safety and disaster preparedness in all learning institutions, the City Government of Mabalacat under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Geld P. Aquino, through the Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted the distribution of First Aid Kits and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Materials to private schools in the city. The First Aid Kits and IEC Materials will help schools in providing immediate response during emergencies and in strengthening awareness on disaster preparedness, prevention and mitigation, response, rehabilitation and recovery. This is part of the city government's proactive approach to create safe and resilient school communities.

This program is just one component of our comprehensive agenda for the preparedness and safety in school communities. The program covers both public and private schools, leaving no learner behind in the city's preparedness efforts.

The City Government of Mabalacat, under the leadership of Hon. City Mayor Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino, reiterates its commitment to continue helping and supporting all educational institutions, both public and private, as part of its sustainable Plans and Programs for a safe, healthy, and resilient Mabalacat City.

Twelve (12) Public High Schools in the City received First Aid Kits today September 25, 2026, led by the Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, under the directives of Mayor Geld P. Aquino.

In total, 356 classrooms from high schools in the city have been provided with First Aid Kits.

Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducts Earthquake Drill and Disaster Preparedness Symposium in San Joaquin Elementary School

The activity aimed to strengthen the disaster preparedness, awareness, and response capabilities of learners, teachers and school personnel in the event of an earthquake. The symposium started with a brief orientation on earthquake hazards, the importance of the "Duck, Cover and Hold" technique and proper evacuation procedures.

During the simulation exercise, students and teachers performed the Duck, Cover and Hold, followed by an organized evacuation to the school's designated open area.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the SJES Community for their active participation and support in promoting a culture of safety and resilience among the learners. The activity ended with an open forum and evaluation to further improve the school's Disaster Preparedness Plan.

MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA — To strengthen community resilience and enhance emergency response capabilities, the Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office successfully spearheaded a Disaster Preparedness Symposium alongside a full-scale Earthquake Drill to Great Shepherd Christian Academy Asian Foundation, Inc. on September 18, 2026.

​Resource Speakers from the Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Administration and Training Division delivered comprehensive briefings on different hazards, early warning systems and emergency action plans.

Participants put theory into practice the 5-Phases of Earthquake Drill, upon hearing the simulated siren, executing the standard "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol before conducting a orderly evacuation to designated safe zones.

​The CDRRMO emphasized that disaster preparedness is a shared responsibility that extends beyond local government agencies. Regular simulations ensure that both emergency personnel and community members remain equipped to act swiftly during real-life seismic events and natural calamities. Through continuous educational symposiums and practical drills, Mabalacat City continues to reinforce its disaster risk reduction framework, ensuring safer and more resilient communities.

Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducts Disaster Preparedness Symposium and Earthquake Drill for the SACT, Mabalacat City

Students and Faculty members of Saint Anthony College of Technology successfully participated in Disaster Preparedness Symposium and Earthquake Drill on September 17, 2026 at the SACT Main Campus.

The activity aimed to strengthen the culture of safety and resilience among students, faculty, and staff. The symposium featured resource speakers from the Mabalacat CDRRMO Administration and Training Division who discussed earthquake awareness, proper emergency response, and the importance of having a disaster plan and Survival Kit.

The lecture was followed by a full-scale earthquake drill. At the sound of the siren, students and personnel executed the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD procedure and orderly evacuated to the designated open area. Class advisers conducted headcounts and proper formation in the assembly area.

The administration commended all participants for their active cooperation and discipline. The activity highlighted SACT's commitment to ensuring a safe, prepared, and resilient learning environment for everyone.

First Aider Nationalians!

Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) successfully conducted Basic Life Support Training for the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Mabalacat National High School in Dau, Mabalacat City.

The comprehensive training equipped our teachers and faculty members with essential life-saving skills including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), management of choking emergencies, and immediate response to life-threatening situations.

We commend Ma'am Jessica T. Sison, School Principal for her support, generosity and for making this event a success. With all appreciation, we recognize the Nationalians for their eagerness to learn and active participation throughout the training.

Geld Aquino ang suspension ng Face-to-face classes All Levels Public and Private, Huwebes September 10, 2026 dahil sa walang tigil na pagulan dulot ng habagat, habang alternative work arrangement naman sa mga tanggapan ng Mabalacat City LGU

Pinapayuhan ang mga paaralan na ipatupad ang Alternative Learning Modes upang maipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral ng mga estudyante.
