Garcia-Marquez confirmed that BIR examiners have 180 days to conduct the audit but declined to disclose whether a Notice of Discrepancy, Preliminary Assessment Notice, or Formal Letter of Demand had been issued, citing Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 26-2008.

Anne Loraine Garcia-Marquez confirmed that the Letters of Authority (LOAs) covering Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband, Atty. Mans Carpio covered all internal revenue taxes, including income tax, but said the documents are confidential, prompting the defense to assert it had the couple's consent to present them.
