Kabilang dito ang paunang pag-uusap kasama ang Gender Focal Point System Student Representative at ang KASARIANLAN, mga pagpupulong kasama ang ibaโt ibang tanggapan kabilang ang University Legal Counsel Office (ULCO), Office of the University Registrar (OUR), at Office of the Student Services (OSS), at mga kinatawan ng mga mag-aaral, at ang pakikipagdayalogo sa mga transgender na magsisipagtapos.

Day 1 featured insightful discussions led by speakers from various Southeast Asian universities on gender-transformative and inclusive education across disciplines, bringing together diverse perspectives from education, STEM, social sciences, and gender studies. The second day featured discussions on designing assessment tools and pedagogies that respond to a gender-transformative approach, as well as translating insights from Learning Exchanges 1 and 2 into action plans and implementation strategies. The third and final day wrapped up the program with a workshop, a synthesis of action plans, and discussions on implementation strategies.
Through the insights, strategies, and action plans developed during the program, the participants look forward to translating these learnings into meaningful initiatives that will help foster more inclusive, equitable, and gender-transformative learning environments within the PUP community. โจ

This ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก, letโs take a moment to raise awareness, understanding, and support for individuals living with alopecia. Alopecia refers to hair loss that can affect different parts of the body and may vary from small patches to more extensive hair loss. While it may be a visible condition, every person experiences it differently. Through awareness, we can help promote a better understanding of alopecia and encourage conversations rooted in empathy rather than assumptions.
Living with alopecia can also come with emotional and personal challenges. Changes in appearance may affect a personโs confidence and how they feel in social spaces, especially when faced with unwanted questions, comments, or judgment. This is why choosing our words carefully, respecting personal boundaries, and showing kindness can make a meaningful difference in someoneโs experience.
As we observe Alopecia Awareness Month, may we take the time to learn, listen, and understand. Let us create spaces where people with alopecia feel accepted and supported without feeling the need to explain or hide who they are. More than raising awareness, may we continue to build a community that values ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ด๐ป๐ถ๐๐, ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐, ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ because everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and comfortable being themselves ๐

As we welcome a new school year, here are some reminders on how we can promote safe and inclusive spaces within our Sintang Paaralan.
Let us continue to respect differences, practice empathy, uphold dignity, and reject discrimination, harassment, and exclusion in all spacesโwhether in classrooms, offices, student organizations, online platforms, or within the wider PUP community.
With this, you may also familiarize yourself with what offices to reach out to if you experienced or witnessed any form of harassment, discrimination, bullying, or other inappropriate behavior.
May this be a reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, heard, and included.
