Lost in Algorithms

Friends, new music for you. “Timefall” is a new post-rock x liquid dnb hybrid but I kinda went nuts after the drop.

The second track is a pure liquid dnb version (with a fancy edgy name) in case the ending ruins the meditative mood for you.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for always listening. Makes it all worth it.

Album art by Annie Spratt through unsplash

I wonder if you noticed, but I’ve replaced the album art for Monarchs. The previous one was generated with Midjourney back when this was the best it could do. I thought it was fitting, given this project’s name and themes. I was really amazed at how AI could’ve generated a picture let alone something resembling what I described from my prompt.

Well we all know now how. I’m not going to debate the ethics of it all, and I’m sure you all have your own opinions. I know AI is being used in the highest levels of all creative work now, and I know that this stance doesn’t really matter in the grander scheme of things. But I’d like to at least stand for what I believe: that this is a creative pursuit, and using something that threatens creatives everywhere to represent my creative output is hypocritical.

I think the new album art still captures the tone of what I was going for. To be honest, I’m a bit sad about the change. There’s something to be said about leaving something as it is for posterity. Then again, the change itself can be a message for posterity too.

It’s me! I should shoot more film…

Hello friends. It’s been a while.
