This question took center stage at UNMASKED: The Future of Filipino Talent – Leading Through AI, Skills, and Global Change, featuring Jack Madrid, President & CEO of the I.T. & Business Process Association of the Philippines.

Hosted by the FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) in collaboration with the FEU Tech Human Resources Office (HRO), the session brought together FEU Chairman Aurelio R. Montinola III, FEU Tech Senior Executive Director Dr. Benson T. Tan, FEU Tech Executive Director for Finance Edna M. Anicete, FEU Tech Executive Director Rossana T. Adao, and FEU Diliman OIC-Executive Director Dr. Irish C. Juanatas, together with students and associates from FEU Alabang, FEU Diliman, and FEU Institute of Technology.

As a leader in the IT-BPM industry, Madrid shared perspectives on how people can remain valuable in the workplace as AI makes intelligence increasingly abundant. He introduced the New Graduate Capability Stack—a combination of skills, behaviors, knowledge, and human capabilities that graduates need to bring into the workplace as AI reshapes what employers expect.

He emphasized the importance of graduates who can think critically, create with purpose, adapt to change, collaborate with others, and exercise distinctly human judgment.

This special session of Unmasked is part of the FEU Group of Schools’ Leadership Excellence Program (LXP), an ongoing professional development and capability-building initiative across the FEU system designed for academic and administrative heads. The program equips school leaders with modern management skills to navigate contemporary challenges in education.

IN PHOTOS: FEU Institute of Technology and the Department of Education (DepEd) – Education Futures Office (EFO), led by Assistant Secretary Dr. Dexter Galban, held an exploratory meeting to discuss potential collaboration in technopreneurship, research, and inclusive and future-proof innovation.

Anchored on AMBISYON NATIN 2040 and PAGTANAW 2050, the discussion highlighted the role of innovation, foresight, and anticipatory planning in developing solutions and strategies for the evolving needs of Philippine education. EFO serves as the main hub for inclusive future-proof innovation, embedding mechanisms for anticipatory planning and policy research to guide DepEd and its initiatives.

Representing FEU Tech were Executive Director Rossana Adao, Senior Director for Innovation and Research Engr. Daryl David, and Director of Innovation Programs Engr. Norman Nicole Jimenez.
