If you love me keep my commandments

Isaiah 26:9
My soul yearns for you in the night;
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I reflect on who You are, inspired by Isaiah 46:9: “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else.” I acknowledge Your sovereignty and faithfulness throughout history.

In a world of uncertainty, this verse reassures me of Your unchanging nature. I remember the miracles and interventions You performed in the past, the stories of those who trusted in You, and the blessings You provided.

Help me to keep these testimonies close to my heart, reminding me of Your greatness, from the plagues in Egypt to the deliverance through the Red Sea. In moments of feeling overwhelmed, let me recall Your faithfulness and remember that You are a personal God who desires a relationship with us. Thank You for being the same yesterday, today, and forever.

You show me the path to true life; in Your presence, I find boundless joy and eternal pleasures that bring deep fulfillment.

A fool 05/05/2026

A fool

The idea of a fool is often linked to someone missing wisdom, judgment, and common sense. They tend to dismiss the truth, mocking or ignoring it without considering the consequences. In the Bible, however, a fool is seen as someone who lives as if God and His will don't matter. Such individuals show contempt for wisdom and instruction, do what seems right in their own eyes, and exhibit recklessness, carelessness, quick temper, quarrelsomeness, and disregard for God's Word. The Scriptures warn us that these choices conclude in a life of ruin and separation from God.

Every day, we face the decision to act like a fool or to live wisely with God's guidance. Foolish living means rejecting wisdom, living recklessly, quarreling, or ignoring God's Word—all of which lead to destruction and loss of the abundant life God offers. Conversely, choosing wisdom involves trusting in God, seeking His guidance, being orderly, thoughtful, peaceful, and aligning our lives with His Word. Through this, we can experience a life filled with fullness and blessing.

If you sense you're on a path toward ruin, it's vital to reflect on how you can improve. Embracing wisdom can positively transform those areas, encouraging growth and abundance. Today, take a step toward wise living by seeking God's direction and equipping yourself with His wisdom and instruction.

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that legalism and a license to sin are unacceptable. Thank You for the freedom in Christ. Help me live in holiness and serve others through Christ's love, abiding in Him. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

The Gospel sets us free!

But what is true freedom?
Genuine freedom isn’t just about doing whatever you want; it’s about living the life God has prepared for us.

1. Freedom from Performance

Many are enslaved by the idea that they must perform to earn salvation. Galatians 3:23-24 explains that the law acts as our guardian, revealing our sins and pointing us to our need for a Savior. Romans 3:10 reminds us that no one is justified by works of the Law. Galatians 4:3-5 and Hebrews 10:11-12 show that Jesus came to offer the ultimate solution.

God didn’t just free us from the bo***ge of performance—He gave us His Spirit, filling us with joy and a willing heart to do His will. Anything apart from Jesus will never truly satisfy.

The Gospel has set us free!

2. Freedom from False Teachers

Galatians 4:12-14 encourages us to stay rooted in truth, even when correction is tough—bring it to God’s light. Beware of those who seek to shut you out or manipulate you (Galatians 4:17-20). Satan’s greatest deception is twisting the gospel to make it humanly appealing (Acts 20:29-30; 2 Peter 2:2-3; 1 John 4:1). Always test the spirit—1 John 4:2-3.

3. Freedom to Partake in His Promise

Galatians 4:7 assures us that Jesus grants us access to all that God has in store. We are heirs, brought into His glorious promises. As Genesis 16:2 shows, this is a gift—so embrace it with hope and faith.

The Gospel has give me freedom.
