The Martial Law Anniversary is celebrated every September 21 in the Philippines. It is to remember the signing of Proclamation No. 1081, to honor the victims that was oppressed and silenced during the Marcos Dictatorship. It serves as a reminder to always protect democracy, human rights, and historical truth. ⚖

📜 On September 21, 1972, President Ferdinand E. Marcos signed Proclamation No.1081, Placing the country under Martial Law, which was publicly announced on September 23, 1972. This marks the day as one of the horrific and darkest time in the philippines as thousands of people was imprisoned,tortured and death. The anniversary has been observed annually since the 1986 People Power Revolution as a day of remembrance and reflection.

From this day on, This Anniversary is important today as victims and families continue seeking justice and reparations for past abuse. It also educates younger generation the danger authoritarianism and the value of democratic freedoms. Filipino observe the day through commemorative masses, marches, cultural programs, and candle-lightning ceremonies.

The International Day of Charity reminds us of the power of compassion, generosity, and solidarity in helping people in need. It is observed every September 5 to recognize how charitable acts can address poverty, promote human welfare, and build more inclusive communities. Through simple acts of kindness, we can help improve the lives of those facing difficult circumstances. ❤️‍🩹

The United Nations General Assembly officially declared September 5 as the International Day of Charity in 2012, with the first observance held in 2013. The date was chosen to honor the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life to serving the poor and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work. The United Nations also recognizes charity as an important way to strengthen social bonds and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

As we celebrate the International Day of Charity, let us remember that charity is not only about giving material things. It can also be shown through volunteering, donating resources, and supporting community efforts. Let us honor this day by taking action — by helping others, promoting dignity, and working together for a more peaceful and caring world. The word “𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐘𝐀” comes from the root word “sinaya,” which is associated with “saya” or 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. In Filipino, it is used to refer to the ceremonial 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 or launching of something. During this ceremony, the newly elected leaders formally took their oath and 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙙 their duties and responsibilities.

Last August 28, 2026, the newly elected officers of each club officially began their term. This Pasinaya became their first step in upholding the duties they swore to fulfill as student leaders. The Outreach Program Committee came together with other club officers for this moment. And continue to carry the school’s pride to lead and serve the youth. 👤✨

As the ceremony ended, the final words showed us what true leadership really means. Being young does not mean we cannot handle greater things. As the youth, we are part of the change, and that change comes from responsibility and leadership. This moment marks the beginning of our shared 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 to lead with 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, serve with 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and contribute 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲. 🧠⚖️

National Heroes Day reminds us of the bravery and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who fought for our country’s freedom. It is celebrated every last Monday of August to honor both known and unknown heroes who showed courage and love for the Philippines. Their sacrifices helped us enjoy the freedom and liberty we have today. ⚖️🗣️

National Heroes Day officially started on October 28, 1931, when the Philippine Legislature passed Act No. 3827. In 2007, the celebration was moved to the last Monday of the August through Republic Act No. 9492, allowing Filipinos to have a time for national reflection and remebrance. 🕊️

As we celebrate National Heroes Day, let us remember that heroism is not only about fighting for freedom. It is also be shown by helping others, standing up for what is right, and caring for our community without expecting anything in return. Let us honor our heroes by continuing their values of courage, service, and love for our country. 👤🇵🇭

National Women’s Equality Day is a reminder that every woman is not just a woman, but a true symbol of strength and courage. It honors the women who fought for their voices to be heard and worked to change society’s perceptions of women. A woman’s voice carries the strength of those who could not speak, while her steps represent the courage of those who could not walk freely.

It occurs every year on August 26 and marks the anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which was ratified in 1920 and granted women the right to vote. This observance honors the accomplishments of women’s rights activists and recognizes their great contributions to achieving greater political and social equality for women.

Until now, there are still voices being raised to fight for equality and eliminate discrimination against women. Many voices have been heard, but those who cannot speak remain silent, as their circumstances prevent them from seeking what is rightfully theirs. To those who are still fighting and continuing to seek equality, may their courage inspire others to stand up and raise our voices.
