Why were the official reports regarding Race 2 not immediately announced during the live coverage?

If ATTY. WYNONA had already been ruled vicious/uncontrollable and AZINTADO was declared lame and injured, why were these important developments not disclosed to the racing public until after the conclusion of the race program?

Transparency is crucial in horse racing. Racing fans, owners, and bettors deserve timely and accurate information, especially on matters involving horse safety and official rulings.

Was it simply a delay in the reporting process, or is there something that needs further clarification?

FROM THE BOARD OF STEWARDS

MB Pilapil (ATTY. WYNONA) explained that around the 600-meter mark, he was trying to steady his horse as it kept shifting positions, making it difficult to catch up with the leaders.

Approaching the 400-meter mark, the horse began veering out, and near the 200-meter mark, it shifted inwards to avoid colliding with the horse in front. Pilapil stated that he attempted to guide his mount outward, but the horse ahead also shifted out, forcing him to straighten his horse and ride it to the finish, where it eventually finished second.

After considering the jockey’s explanation and reviewing the horse’s previous race records dated September 24, 2025 and March 18, 2026 (MMTCI), where ATTY. WYNONA had previously been suspended for racing wide, the Board of Stewards, by a majority vote of 2-1, classified the horse as uncontrollable.

Horse #1 ATTY. WYNONA (MB Pilapil) was declared vicious/uncontrollable during the race and has been suspended indefinitely, but not less than seven (7) days, with one (1) barrier trial required.

Penalized under PR 65-A.
