Held at the Playdium Bowling Center in Quezon City from September 20, 2026, Paulene showcased incredible composure and fighting spirit on the lanes. We also commend all the dedicated athletes and coaches for competing with such excellence, pride, and heart.

📢 PUBLICATION NOTICE

We are pleased to share the publication of the research entitled “Emergence of Unique Steady Edge States in Trapped Ultracold Atom Systems,” published in Annals of Physics in 2026.

The study was authored by Dr. Roland Christopher F. Caballar, Ph.D. The research investigates a one-dimensional open quantum system of ultracold atoms trapped in an array of harmonic potentials and weakly coupled to a background Bose–Einstein Condensate (BEC).

This work contributes to the study of open quantum systems, ultracold atoms, dissipative quantum processes, and topological quantum systems, providing insights into how driven and dissipative dynamics can give rise to distinctive steady states in quantum matter.

Authored by Kun-Hao Luo, Chen-An Chang, Sheng-Yen Hsiao, Po-Ting Lee, Yi-Ting Kao, Jolleen Natalie I. Balitaan, Shu-Rung Lin, Wen-Tyng Li,and Jui-Ming Yeh, bridges the gap between robust structural support and dynamic adaptability, a newly developed chitosan-based hybrid hydrogel is changing the game for biomaterials. By utilizing an innovative in situ sol-gel crosslinking process, this composite achieves a storage modulus of ~500 kPa, boosting its mechanical strength by over 400-fold compared to conventional organic controls. Remarkably, this massive increase in rigidity does not compromise its flexibility; the hydrogel maintains an impressive 87.6% self-healing efficiency and exhibits exceptional hydrolytic stability, retaining ~95% of its weight over a four-week period.
