Our 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 will 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 its doors 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 9 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 2026 as it undergoes renovation and improvements.

This 19th-century colonial lifestyle museum welcomes visitors to experience its historic spaces one more time before the temporary closure. Casa Manila will remain open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM until 8 October 2026.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back once Casa Manila reopens its doors with renewed spaces and refreshed galleries.

LOOK: On 04 October 2026, the Intramuros Administration (IA), together with the Guides, Instructors, and Destination Experts of the Philippines (GUIDES/PHL), Dr. Gab, and Renacimiento Manila, held a meeting to discuss the proposed Animal Welfare Program for Intramuros.

The discussion focused on the proposed Guidelines on the Keeping and Handling of Pets and Animals, covering responsible pet parenting, animal welfare, public health and safety, sanitation, visitor convenience, and the protection of Intramuros’ cultural properties.

The initiative aims to establish clear and responsible guidelines for the presence of pets and animals within Intramuros, while supporting a more welcoming experience for fur parents and their companions and ensuring the protection and preservation of the Walled City’s heritage sites, parks, and plazas.

LOOK: On 04 October 2026, the Intramuros Administration (IA), in collaboration with the Guides, Instructors, and Destination Experts of the Philippines (GUIDES/PHL), celebrated World Animal Day through 𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 in the historic Walled City.

The event featured a free pet-friendly guided heritage tour, allowing fur parents and their companions to experience the historic streets and sights of Intramuros together. It also provided a platform for fur parents to share their experiences, suggestions, and concerns on making heritage spaces more welcoming and responsible for pets and their humans.

Through initiatives such as 𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭, the IA continues to explore ways to make visits to participating Intramuros sites more welcoming and enjoyable for fur parents and their pets, while promoting responsible pet parenting and appreciation of the Walled City’s heritage.

Please be advised that a portion of Magallanes Drive, in front of Plaza Mexico, will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic beginning 8 October 2026 due to road and drainage works in the area of the National Archives of the Philippines.

Alternate Route: Turn left to Magallanes Drive, then right to A. Soriano Avenue.

Motorists are advised to take the alternate route and plan their trips accordingly.

The Anthology ASEAN Festival 2026: Shared Ground concluded on 4 October 2026, bringing together participants and guests for a final day of conversations, exhibitions, and cultural exchange across Intramuros.

The day featured Anthology Talks, Shelter Dialogues, and Anthology Raw at Foro de Intramuros, Centro de Turismo Intramuros, and Teatrillo, providing spaces for dialogue and reflection on architecture, culture, and the communities they serve.

Visitors also had the opportunity to experience the festival’s three installation clusters—Care Cluster at Plaza Roma, Culture Cluster at Fort Santiago, and Collective Futures at the Pasig River Esplanade—bringing the festival’s theme of shared ground to life through architecture, collaboration, and public engagement.

The Intramuros Administration (IA) has begun preparations for the upcoming Intramuros Grand Marian Procession (IGMP) 2026 through a preparatory meeting with the Cofradia de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Inc. held on 5 October 2026.

The Intramuros Grand Marian Procession is a cherished tradition held every first Sunday of December in Intramuros, bringing together Marian devotees in a solemn celebration of faith and devotion in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
