When the Church says “yes,” children and families can experience lasting hope.

We are grateful to have reconnected with friends and partners in Singapore who have faithfully prayed for us, championed our work, and modeled what foster care and adoption can look like in Southeast Asia.

We continued our conversations with Sound of Hope film producers Josh Weigel and Rebekah Weigel, on how we can inspire more churches and communities to embrace foster care in the Philippines, Singapore, and beyond.

We also had the privilege of screening the film with our World Without Orphans Southeast Asia community—a meaningful reminder that when the Church says “yes,” children and families can experience lasting hope.

Last week, we received a call from the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) requesting to assist with an emergency foster care placement for a one-month old baby, born to a mother struggling with drug abuse, about to be discharged from a government hospital. These are the moments we hope we had more licensed foster families who can be tapped, can say yes, come to the rescue and provide temporary care for these babies or children needing a safe haven until they are either reintegrated with their biological families or placed into a family through adoption. The next day, we were able to entrust the baby to the hands of our one and only licensed foster family.

There isn’t much licensed foster families in our nation, and we need more. Fostering may be temporary, but the love, the care and the support a family can give will have a lasting impact to the life of a child.

We’re grateful for the years of partnership with Greenhills Christian Fellowship (GCF) from sharing about adoption during World Adoption Day, featuring stories of adoptive families and adoptees on our channels, serving families from the GCF community, and even sharing with their youth at camp.

Last week, we had the opportunity to sit down with GCF’s leadership team to dream about how we can strengthen this partnership and bring the conversation around vulnerable children and families to the wider congregation in the months ahead.

It’s exciting to see how God is moving in this church and to imagine what He might do as more people begin to see that caring for vulnerable children and families is something we can all be part of.

The heavy rains didn’t stop us from gathering and seeking the Lord in worship at our Justice Worship & Night a few weeks ago. We are truly grateful to our partners Awaken Generation and Victory Pasig, for helping lead, host and facilitate the evening and for pressing on with us, as we fight for justice and righteousness for the vulnerable. 🤍

We believe that as the Lord moves in the hearts of His people, we will see the Church respond and become His hands and feet for the orphaned and vulnerable.

One more child, HOME.♥️

Last month, our team had the privilege of helping facilitate the entrustment of a 4-year old girl to her forever family. It was so precious to witness our family finally connecting with their child, after their 9-month wait. We rejoice for the patience and prayers of our families as they go through their adoption journeys.
