Novacain

new single ‘DROPDOWN’ listen now 🪼 Fast forward to the present, the band is currently composed of Del Rosario, Kyle Enriquez on bass, and Ariel Flores on drums.
Formed in 2015, Novacain initially started out as a solo project by vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter Lawrence Del Rosario, who eventually released a collection of demos in 2020, entitled Colors in My Head. After a series of singles, Del Rosario then released the band’s debut album Control in 2021, which includes the tracks “Red Rose Hue,” “Jasmine,” “Control,” and more. In shaping their sound, the band draws from an eclectic mix of influences, including the likes of Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and The Strokes, as well as Filipino rock icons Eraserheads, and more. This has resulted in their very own evolving sonic signature, with elements notably rooted in grunge, post-punk, as well as garage rock. The band is active across the Metro Manila gig circuit and beyond, having notably performed at the likes of Fête de la Musique Philippines, organized their own shows, and has even guested on highly regarded music platforms such as Wish 107.5 and GMA Playlist. In addition, Novacain has performed multiple times in Tokyo in 2024 and 2025 in support of Filipino modern metalcore act Fragments. The band also shared the stage with Fragments in Taiwan last April 2025, where they, alongside Filipino metal supergroup Juggernaut, opened for Indonesia’s Seringai.

Wag ka munang magtanong
Hayaan mo lang ako

Hindi pa ako kasal
Pwede bang akoy samahan
Para lang malaman
