TCLC’s Mitra Bhum marks maiden call in Batangas Integrated Port

More ships are calling the Batangas Integrated Port, opening faster and smarter import and export connectivity for customers to major destinations in the Asian region.

Last September 3, ATI’s Batangas Container Terminal welcomed Mitra Bhum to its shores as it marked its maiden voyage to Calabarzon’s premier international trade enabler.

Vessel owner and operator Jiangsu Ocean Taican Container Lines Co. (TCLC), represented locally by Sino Cargoworks Agencies Inc., is exploring BCT as its Philippine port of call, with a rotation covering Nanjing – Taicang – Batangas – Jakarta – Nanjing – Taicang.

The Nanjing–Taicang areas are considered as key economic hubs within the Jiangsu Province in China.

Championing the Filipino youth, Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) continues to invest in education programs that provide young people with opportunities to learn, develop their potential, and build the skills and confidence they need to become productive members of society.

From educational assistance and hands-on industry exposure to inclusive pathways into the workplace, ATI’s programs reflect its commitment to making learning and opportunity accessible to young people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

In a pioneer initiative, ATI recently welcomed two young persons with disabilities (PWDs), for a supervised trial wok program at the modern Batangas Passenger Terminal.

ATI also invests in the educational aspirations of next generation, supporting more than 100 beneficiaries for this academic year under its institutional scholarship program.

Beyond the classroom, ATI also provided over 20 college students the opportunity to train alongside its top engineers and experienced personnel in completing their hands-on internship program under ATI’s Operations and Engineering Group.

Collectively, these programs demonstrated how education can extend well beyond the classroom. Through these investments in people, ATI and DP World are helping equip the next generation with knowledge, skills, confidence, and opportunities to participate in the industries and communities of the future.
