14 September 2026 – Province of Masbate. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Provincial Statistical Office Masbate participated in the Handog ng Pangulo 2026, held at the Capitol Grounds in the City of Masbate and Cawayan East Central School in Cawayan, Masbate. In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), PhilHealth, and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), the activity brought essential government programs and assistance closer to communities, benefiting learners, teachers, parents, UPLIFT beneficiaries, farmers, and other community members.

HAPPENING NOW | PSA hosts International Asian Harvest Monitoring System for Rice (INAHOR) In-Country Workshop, explores satellite technology to strengthen rice monitoring
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is hosting the International Asian Harvest Monitoring System for Rice (INAHOR) In-Country Workshop from 15 to 16 September 2026, in cooperation with the ASEAN Food Security Information System (AFSIS). The workshop brings together key personnel from the PSA, Department of Agriculture-National Rice Program, and the Philippine Rice Research Institute to be capacitated in using the monitoring system and explore satellite imagery, particularly data from the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2, for the estimation of rice-cultivated areas in identified target areas.
The resource persons from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Remote Sensing Technology Center of Japan (RESTEC) share their expertise on earth observation technologies and conducts hands-on demonstrations of the INAHOR application system. This initiative reflects the PSA’s continuing efforts to explore cost-effective, scientifically sound, and technology-driven approaches to strengthen agricultural statistics and support more efficient monitoring of the country’s agriculture sector.

In 2025, the country’s Class A silver reserves declined by 7.9%, from 265.14 thousand kilograms in 2024 to 244.23 thousand kilograms.
Meanwhile, Class A iron reserves recorded 49.58 million metric tons, a minimal decrease of 0.2% from 49.68 million metric tons in 2024.

Aniya, malaking tulong ang pagkakaroon ng National ID dahil kailangan ng valid ID sa mga transaksyon sa mga pampubliko at pribadong institusyon.

Gaya ni Jessebelle, maaari kang mag-request ng printing ng National ID in paper format sa pinakamalapit na registration center.

LOOK | PSA Conducts Consultative Meeting to Assess Readiness of eCRVS System
As part of its preparations for the System’s official launch in October, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducted a consultative meeting on the readiness of the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (eCRVS) System on 09 September 2026.
The meeting brought together key officials of the PSA, including Assistant Secretary Minerva Eloisa P. Esquivias, Deputy National Statistician of the Civil Registration and Central Support Office; Assistant National Statistician Engr. Marizza B. Grande of the Civil Registration Service; Assistant National Statistician Marela Lovely Y. Andres of the Registration Operations Service; and Assistant National Statistician Atty. Henedine P. Palabras of the Use Case Development and Management Service, along with representatives from the Department of Health, Local Civil Registry Offices, and City Health Offices. The group assessed system readiness, validated critical workflows, addressed technical and operational gaps, and identified priority actions for successful implementation.
Together with its partners, the PSA is working to build a digital CRVS system that is more efficient, responsive, and better equipped to serve the evolving needs of Filipinos. 🇵🇭
